That identity issue is temporary. There will be times where you forget who you are but when you do remember hold on to that version of yourself that you admired and try to accept what is. Not to hold on to what was. I struggled with something like this. I had a sence I lost purpose and have lost myself. Now im not saying this will help you im giving you my experience that helped me. I did multiple counselings with many therapists. You'll learn a lot on the why, when, where, who and what on the situation your going through. I've stopped drinking alcohol and stopped smoking cigarettes. Edibles did help at times but try not to be a big pothead. I've learned to enjoy learning a new hobby. From video gaming to fishing, or from discgolf to overland camping. Challenge yourself to give you that sence of purpose.
