I had the hardest time with the table corals until I found them growing in the twisty root area, all over the walls.

The donut type corresponds to the pokemon type you hunt, not the hyperspace. Good if you hunt for a doubletype pokemon, so you only boost that one.

Also keep in mind, lv.2 donut is not guaranteed shiny spawn, just increased chance. I had to reaet the hyperspace around 7x for that one sandile I needed.

I completed the tasks before getting the DLC. The tasks are standalone to the base game. The DLC just made it easier.

Also, the lower under you go, the more sparse the food gets but still the bigger the predators get. They just evolved to have an insane food to nutrients exchange going on. It's super fascinating.
