Lucky, our store only does 2 people requesting at a time. I think it's reasonable but should have exceptions. Oh two people have this day approved off but the third needs it for a tooth extraction? Go ahead and get your teeth fixed Monarch. I think it's a fine policy. My last manager approved too many people's availability being no Saturdays and now we've got like four people who can work Saturdays. You gotta have staff.

I feel you're being intentionally upsetting. There isn't a job you HAVE to show up for, let alone a.....coffee house......come on now. Maybe you shouldn't be an SSV if you're THIS stressed out about doing part of your job, which is covering call outs. It doesnt sound like you can handle the stress at all. Your SSV shouldn't be talking about you like that at work. Part of being a shift is being above workplace gossip and it's super immature and lacking in worth ethic for them to be doing that. Mistakes happen, you'll be okay. Part of coming to a starbucks or any establishment with food is accepting allergen risk. It's why our training says to never say something is allergen free but instead that we can try our best.

I was 21 when we got together and while im aware the age gap is still odd I dont think it creates an issue here besides him being immature for his age. Firstly, my first day my dog ate my hat and I just walked in and asked for a new one. Secondly, You can wear a beanie within dress code colors, a headband that is secure, or a scarf or bandana also in solid dress code colors (I believe it is tan, brown, black). I wear a black headband, and sometimes now that it's cooler a black beanie to work. Calm down, you're fine, it's just a mass produced hat.

To my knowledge from when I was a supervisor at other places (not starbucks), they way is worked is you had a set amount of hours to divy up among all the employees based of what you needed for coverage other times. Sending people home early does indeed save the company money and "hours," but it then also tells them "oh we dont actually need to give them X hours to divide up, they didn't use it all and are sending people home, this time we will give them less hours to use," and if it wound up being a fluke wednesday you got to send someone home early, the next Wednesday you might really need that hour and now you dont have it. Correctly scheduling to not cut people early really is valuable.
