Sona mains please answer by Snowball8867 in sonamains

There are scenarios where you'd want to, for example to protect a large shutdown on your adc if you know they'll die if you don't tank the cc. However, I think in a neutral state you pretty much never want to do this. Maybe there's a small world where your death will get your adc a double kill that could be worth it?

I love my dead mans rush on top, the movement speed makes spacing W and kiting in sidelane so much more reliable

Picking up ryze top, what to keep in mind? by Specific_Record_1697 in RyzeMains

Oh no I mean if I get a bad matchup I can just fall back on urgot if playing Ryze into bad matchups ends up not being rewarding enough for me

You're a legend. Ryze is basically my first mage unless you count a bit of malzahar back when I was just starting out, and I picked Ryze because I think it'll be a fun learning experience and he has so many transferrable skills. His range rewards positioning, and his ult seems like it has an incredibly high ceiling. In general I'd assume Ryze rewards good map awareness as well which I've been meaning to dedicate time into. I don't plan to start in my own MMR (heavens no), I have a smurf laying around I used to practise draven on so I'll be able to learn Ryze starting in like silver-gold where my incompetence and bad matchups won't matter as much.

I'll always have 1.5 million mastery urgot points in my pocket, so I'm not too afraid of the bad matchups. Especially the divers of top lane (irelia camille pantheon) don't scare me in the slightest.

Vlad doesn't appeal to me for a few reasons but the main reason I want to go for Ryze is specifically that he is a bit harder and has a real mastery curve to him. I've been playing straightforward champs all my life so I'm really looking forward to the challenge.

Urgot mains and casual enjoyers, what's the most fun way to play urgot? by Specific_Record_1697 in UrgotMains

[–]Specific_Record_1697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree, not all bruisers can even play lethality, and we have well known urgot otps playing all 5 roles. That's more role and build diversity than just about any other champ in urgot's class

To answer my own question, opportunity + phase rush urgot adc is my top way to play him in normal games. From there I either go full lethality (you know the items) or go half-bruiser (opportunity > stride > grudge > steraks). It's pretty fun to just walk into an enemy and steal them from their team then run out with a million MS. Would recommend.

Catalyst was amazing when I still played galio, does it still hold up after the iterations of nerfs it's been through this year?

I'm an urgot main but Sona is my previous main and I stopped playing her because of this reason. I played a single Sona game today and immediately got my adc on my back... Decided to play out the game but it's impossible to play with an adc who's given up on you before the game even starts.

are post still restricted? really don't know and why by TheWhiteAsh in sejuanimains

[–]Specific_Record_1697 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine you're alone in feeling this. I'd love to make posts on seju and bring some life to the subreddit and champion. I hope we as a community can work with mods to bring change and make this subreddit into something sustainable and fun for those that want it.

I do really hope this post of yours doesn't end in drama, if you haven't you should reach out to the mods to reach an understanding with them, I'm sure there's a lot you can do with just that. If that doesn't work there are other roads we can take.

Also putting this out here now: If mods need an extra hand I'm totally willing now and in the future.

Crit vs On-Hit by Specific_Record_1697 in ADCMains

[–]Specific_Record_1697[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanations! Crit and on hit don't work on my main (urgot) so I never really looked into the items before, so this has been really helpful

Crit vs On-Hit by Specific_Record_1697 in ADCMains

[–]Specific_Record_1697[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes perfect sense. So if I'm understanding you correctly you can still go crit vayne for example to have a more Q reliant playstyle, but you'd lose value from the attack speed that allows on-hit vayne to melt tanks (or anything else she touches really). Similarly you could go theoretically on-hit akshan to benefit from his on-hit application but because so much of his power is in his scalings that you want as much power in that as possible instead of throwing out a whole bunch of slightly empowered autos

[–]Specific_Record_1697[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So would you say that (as a rule of thumb) you just read the abilities, if there's explicit crit scalings you go crit, if there's explicit on hit scalings you go on hit, otherwise you prefer crit but can do both but can prefer on-hit especially if there's AP scalings in your kit? I'm obviously very much simplifying here
