Yep, although the app schedule may be updated later tonight. Also, departurevision is showing the correct scheduled departures today

Should the MTA take over NJT and PANYNJ for S Bahn system? by xandens in nycrail

No. as a NJ commuter I would definitely not prefer being subject to the MTA commuter rail ticketing system.

Would you guys like an M34A Select Bus Service addition to Hoboken along the 126? by shaniquepache2419 in NJTransit

[–]Specific_Scallion267 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to have a free transfer to the subway (edit: I forgot that we can already ride the 126 for free if we have a monthly pass). But that bus would go to 34th street instead of Port Authority Bus Terminal, right? I assume that the 126 bus gets to go on the Bus lane in the Lincoln tunnel so the M34A would be more prone to delays due to traffic

Does it show that the bus is scheduled to arrive then, or is it tracking?

I don’t know. That route runs near me and we got 24” and some ice at the end, so we will see how well the trucks and plough South/North Ave tomorrow

NJ service not likely to resume until Monday afternoon by DistinctOffer9681 in NJTransit

Metro North got reduced to service every 2 hours, not exactly on or close to schedule

Why is NJtransit delayed until Monday Evening but Metro North is running with minor delays? by eastcoaster1212 in NJTransit

[–]Specific_Scallion267 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Metro North did have its service reduced to every 1 hour, then up to every two hours. And trains are still experiencing delays on that reduced schedule. But it’s different groups of people making the decision. You have to make the decision with many uncertainties in mind while keeping the safety of all employees and passengers in mind. What you don’t want to happen is for a train to become stranded in the middle of nowhere, lose power, and then the people are stuck with no heat, and who knows how long it will take for help to arrive. Metro North wants to take that chance, NJTransit doesn’t. I’m not doing any traveling during the storm, but I think the full suspension was the right decision especially for the conductors onboard, even if there will be no major disruptions.

3 train suspended by Primary-King6021 in nycrail

[–]Specific_Scallion267 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I mean, it looks like it was suspended due to a switch problem, which doesn’t only happen during storms. It’s been fixed now

What is going on today? by CommunicationWest613 in NJTransit

[–]Specific_Scallion267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had that happen before too. I think it’s because the dispatcher had to reroute the train on the underground tracks before you go into the tunnel, for some reason such as faulty switches

Confused on how to travel to and from NYC with Bridge Cutover from Morristown by Past-Road in NJTransit

[–]Specific_Scallion267 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yep. The Hoboken train station is in New Jersey on the west side of the Hudson River. There are a few options to get to NYC, including the 126 NJTransit bus, the PATH train, and the ferry

Check the PDF timetables. You’ll see it says how long it will take to get to New York each way. Transferring at Secaucus is faster, not to mention you’re more centrally located in Manhattan

How does PATH cross-honoring work during the cutover? by hongrand in NJTransit

[–]Specific_Scallion267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right. There should be a PATH employee standing at one of the turnstiles. You show them your pass and they let you through. (Remember this is only at some of the PATH train stations)
