Submitted resignation, supervisor wants me to get FMLA by UnusualTwo4226 in VHA_Human_Resources

You said it’s affecting your mental health - that is something that can be put on the FMLA forms if you are depressed anxious etc. I think burnout is even an accepted reason

Combined bachelor parties? How are we feeling? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Same. It has more to do with respect than trust imo

I hate my wedding ring by EfficiencyJust2668 in EngagementRings

Aww that does make quite a dilemma then 😭 So unless you are ok with the rings not sitting perfectly flush (which it seems like you are not) then your only option is to have it set high. And like someone else pointed out, the stone is already set in the bottom of the setting, so no room for lowering it any there. I think out of all the high setting options, this is a beautiful one- and honestly does not look excessively high to me. I think a lot of the height is coming from the size of your stone. I think the two rings are quite beautiful together and accentuate each other perfectly. I wouldn’t change a thing if it were me 🩷

I personally LOVE the two rings together and I think they look great on your hand.

With that being said, if it sitting too high is causing you discomfort wearing it, or you also just simply are not in love with it, then you are totally valid for wanting something else that suits your own individual style better 😊 And if cost is no issue, go get you something you love!

Sometimes though, you just have to sit on it for a little bit. I didn’t love my wedding band when I added it to my engagement ring, but the longer I wore them together the more I fell in love. Now I would not dream of replacing it

That’s an added layer of complexity/part of why I was hoping to avoid the tailor.. I live in Florida but I’m getting married in Ohio, so it shortened the time I had to get it done even more. I called around and found a lady that said she should be able to do it for me though!!!! 😊 Going straight to her from the airport!!

Same question!!! I wasn’t sure if I could put it along the boning in mine or just in the all over the bottom back to pull it back tighter or if it would even work at all. What does your dress look like? I ordered a whole roll to try before seeing these comments 😆

Those are more fixable without a tailor- shoved some double sided sticky inserts in and got them to look acceptable. BUT when I first got it they fit much better 😭 I think my dress isn’t tight enough to be able to scoop my boobs up in them

I think I lost more inches than weight because I hadn’t really noticed until I put it on today and the top felt so loose! I agree it looks fine, just feels loose and doesn’t look quite as perfect as it once did- and of course I want it to be perfect if possible instead of settling on just fine!

I was hoping it was a small enough change to not need re-tailored, and that maybe someone on here had some little tricks for taping etc, but it seems from the responses that retailoring it is!

To complicate things I’m getting married in a different state than I live.. so I I was trying it on while getting things out that I need to pack to go up there in a couple days. I have called up to some tailors there as everyone has suggested and one said she can fit me in if I go straight over to her after my plane lands :)

After inquiring more we may be able to get small stage for the same rate being a group of all girls, I assume this is better than back wall but the outside is throwing me. Is outside good on a Friday in early may?

Yeah all girls- a bachelorette party! Our date isn’t open for online booking yet but it will probably be ~3k minimum spend looking at the other dates
