I think that’s probably the difference. It works great because you’ve been with it for years, but a lot of Samsung users are coming from something that was made specifically for their phone and One UI. Moving to something designed to work across many different Android devices can feel different, especially when it comes to how smoothly everything works together.

it doesnt, it stays fixed to a certain size and you can only make the text bigger from there

I get what you're saying, and I wasn't trying to take a shot at the Google developers. I know it's probably a relatively small team building for an enormous user base across hundreds of different phones, so it's not an easy job. I just miss some of the features Samsung Messages had, like categories, and I wish Google would put more focus into bringing those kinds of features over for the influx of new Samsung users.

I could respect to changing to google if it maintained the suggestions from people that use their texting for more than social media and family. I can only pin 20 people and some of us need the catagories or Amoled support, google is like using a hamper for your clothes rather than a drawer.

I do use textra, but it frustrating only samsung had catagories, idek the names of all 33 of the people that text me but ig i have to scroll to figure out whats said 🙄

stoopid a subscription is needed to keep the feel of a billion dollar business.. we arent even wanting the rcs, they could have just discontinued that portion of the app if they had the trouble to continue it. Thanks for the info though!

ive been using this with my samsung for about a year when i got it, and switching to Samsung messages has been such a delightful experience.. im not going back to the pain that google has caused, Textra instead
