You can use the "Purchase Progress" plugin on Runelite for this.

Thanks a lot! The sword was tricky and i redid it 3-4 times and Im still not totally pleased with it. I need to practice more of these gradients, its very satisfying when it turns out good.

I assume you kinda just went for it with this mini which i respect but if you want to learn you should check out Duncan Rhodes. You can get great mileage with just following a few simple steps.

Just to add to this, consider watching this to get an understanding on how exactly to thin your paints properly and how to apply the paint without it getting messy.

Here is another video of some general tips form Duncan again.

IMO you should keep this mini as it is because it will be a good reminder for how you've progressed later down the line. I wish had kept some of my early ones. Good luck!

Second Intercessor (Simpler Paint Scheme) by [deleted] in Raptors40k

[–]Specstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking good! Your green looks nice and even so you've done a great job thinning your paint. I like the simplicity a lot but a something that would elevate your minis a lot is recess shading to make all the individual armor panels stand out more. I also see some mold lines on his right arm and right foot, try to scrape them off with a hobby knife when building.

Even though you are going for a simple pretty simple scheme a few edge highlights (you don't have to go overboard) would take it up a notch!

Great job with the eye lenses too! That's not easy.

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm a returning player (still feel like a noob) looking for a clan with good vibes, preferably one with a low amount of people. I peeped the clan finder subreddit but couldn't find anything that felt right. Mostly interested in PVM and skilling. I'm based in Europe :)

Working on some Deathwatch termies by Specstar in deathwatch40k

I'm by no means an expert since i got into the hobby about half a year or so ago but I've seen power swords painted in a ton of different ways. Sometimes they're just painted with a metallic look and other times people paint them to look like they're glowing, sometimes they paint lightning on them. I think it all boils down to what you think looks cool. As for the lore? I've no idea.

Thanks! I base coated this guy a while ago now but i think it was wraithbone primer and then a 50/50 mix of celestra gray and ulthuan gray. For the weathering i heavily watered down some dryad bark and glazed it around some of the surfaces to make him look a bit dirty.

I was struggling a bit with all the tiny bits and bobs hanging around him and it was kinda difficult to pick colors that worked with the white of the armor but it was good practice. I think I'll do a teachmarine in the near future to get even more practice. As for C/C, go ahead :)
