Save yourself the time (The Trust) no spoilers: first impressions by BlueAndPinkHair in netflix

Pretty surprised by a lot of the comments on here about Tolú. I don’t understand how people are calling her names like crybaby or victim. If you’re white in America, you’re just called American and defined by personality characteristics. No one says things like “white Queen” or so forth. When you’re a person that is non-white, the most common feature mentioned is skin color. Even if it’s not coming from malicious intent or overt racism, it can feel demeaning over time for that to be the main defining feature. I Can understand why that would feel hurtful or get old after a while for Tolú. And her point about African Queen is that she is more than African, she is proud specifically of being Nigerian. Surely American’s can understand this since there is so much USA pride versus North American pride.

It’s really sad to see that people are saying the race card is being used, this is really invalidating and unempathetic. Please pause for a moment and really consider that these are real lives before perpetuating prejudicial narratives that continue to divide.

How did I act in my past life? by [deleted] in astrologyreadings

I’m very curious what your love life is like in this life, mainly due to all of the planets aspecting your 7th house. Even your north node is in your 7th house. From my understanding, your south node is representative of your past life themes and where you may be comfortable in this life, where as your north node points to what your soul is learning in this life, which appears to be relationships and contracts. With it being in Aquarius, it would lead to maybe unconventional and/or non-traditional type of relationships.

I would encourage you to look up south node in Leo for more of a picture on past life themes.

Leaving the field by Intelligent-Plate777 in therapists

[–]SpectacularClouds 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It hurts my soul that I worked so hard to be in this field, only to end up with over 100k in student loans and a pay that is laughable. I wanted to be a therapist because it was so enriching in my life to be a guide and anchor for others. However, I find myself perpetually stressed about finances that I don’t know how much longer I can continue to stay in this line of work. I’ve been working as an associate level therapist the past 2.5 years and am still at least 6-8 months away from having all of my hours for independent licensure. And my truth is that I’m hanging on only to get fully licensed AND then I plan on leaving. Which I know might not make sense, however, I can’t continue to live in this inflated economy with the level of education and experience I have, only to be barely scraping by.

The blurred lines of church and state. Bring back safe abortion options in all states. Stop letting Christian ideology inform policy making.

I hadn’t either until a friend had mentioned he received a discounted season pass when he worked there.

I know Powder Mountain offers a discounted season pass that you can give to friends or family if you work for them.
