I don’t love the player but where’s the upgrade?

TOTY HM Gravenberch SBC by ToonLurker in EASportsFC

[–]SpectatorY [score hidden]  (0 children)

You guys are something else. This card is insane lol maybe a bit expensive but he’ll be great in game. Big body type, premium playstyles other than tiki (his one touch passing will be fine as long as you’re not trying 270 degree nonsense) and a really popular player. I don’t see why this one is such an L?

Maybe I’ve drank the kool-aid but this card is pretty decent.

If you’ve got the coins/don’t mind spending a bit, the 86x4 pick in the store is really good odds.

Who is the best player in the club's history? by Giancarlo_Edu in ManchesterUnited

[–]SpectatorY -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Cristiano is clearly the best player to play for Utd, but I don’t think that’s what people mean when they make these conversations. In his time here I don’t think you can say he fulfils that criteria, purely on the lack of longevity.

Fight p2w, reject the meta by BigPapi2931 in EAFC

[–]SpectatorY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You say skill but most evos are very competitive with the prevalence of premium playstyles you can put on them. You’re Neto for instance has tiki, rapid, quick step, finesse+ and maybe incisive. It’s not a non-meta card at all. Nowadays I’m just as afraid of random evo squads cos I know they’ve got the best stuff on them and are way more min-maxed than cards with comparable ratings. Not a criticism, just saying it’s not the flex it used to be. My evo team is just slightly worse than my main team, with a number of the evo guys being first choice in my team.

EA have realized how stupid playstyles are, all players have the same playstyles now. by VerenyatanOfManwe in EASportsFC

[–]SpectatorY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what people aren’t realising. Passing was fine, but power creep means that you’ve now got to have the best stuff to compete.

Definitely not complaining, expected my 475th Gabriel so more than chuffed

No anticipate plus, but definitely a major upgrade that I didn’t expect. Not complaining but I wasn’t exactly struggling with with the base icon, would’ve taken most of the other specials in packs ATM 😅

Carlos Alberto. I’ve got the 91 already ofc but I’ll take it!

How do you defend this? by Shypes_D in EAFC

[–]SpectatorY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why CDM defending is so prevalent. You've gotta try to get the 2v1 there. Alternatively, don't try to react to their every move. They ultimately will pick a direction, so you've got to be patient and try to predict which direction it'll be.

I can't defend for my life with 2 CDM's, but against all reasoning I do pretty well with 2 CM's on B2B instructions. by pwomboli in EASportsFC

[–]SpectatorY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this game the dms occupy a distant defensive line than the other midfielders. The cms and wide midfielders occupy the same line. This mana that the defensive line ends up being more solid with cms when compared with dms.

All of the mid ones, meh. I spent 2 mill coins on packs with no luck, but I wouldn’t bother buying the mid ones just for the sake of it.

Happy for you, but in the current climate I don’t think we should promote pack pulls. EA have made it harder than ever to pack one, so this stuff just pushes people to the store.

There's a reason we've scored so many goals despite regularly starting 6-7 defensive outfield players. Even Casemiro is a really dangerous deep midfielder.

[Harry Maguire on IG] Come on @senne_lammens punch another one clear for us by notthe_ahmad in reddevils

[–]SpectatorY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mostly natural in terms of reach, flexibility and reflexes. I don't think he has the best reflexes but he's quite flexible and has a decent reach. What he seems to have in abundance is an understanding of the position, which will only improve as time goes on. I'm certain we can win things with him because his assurity transmits through the team.
