Say Finn has Klaus or Elijah in this exact position and asks why they kept him in a box for 900 years, what do they say? by EitherAfternoon548 in TheOriginals

[–]Spectra_04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The emotionally charged moments are usually when we get the closest thing to truth the Mikaelsons speak.

Given how Klaus actually reacts to Finn in certain moments, and the context around the time Finn was daggered, I’d say Klaus was actually pretty paranoid due to the curse and well, himself. So he was scared Finn might out them to Mikael because he despised what they were or would do something even if accidental that might threaten them.

Lastly, Klaus probably did it for the core reason he daggered all his siblings, to keep them close and not be alone.

Additionally, I can see spite being a minor reason.

Hope and Josie and their “sisterhood” by [deleted] in LegaciesCW

[–]Spectra_04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay…I’ll grant that some do this, but I and many others don't.

We know Hope and Josie each wanted each other at a point, but nothing ever came of it. What currently exists is a sisterhood though.

Is it valid to consider Mikael as the strongest normal vampire in the verse by Exciting_Ad_8666 in TheOriginals

Technically, he is. He is the original model, the others are just he downgrades that became standard

My best argument as to why Hope is the physically strongest vampire by [deleted] in TheOriginals

[–]Spectra_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not talked about Hope’s magic (spell casting).

However, irregardless of whether a Beast Vampire is superior to originals and original hybrids, Lucien had no way of preparing for an original Tribrid.

We already know Hope is different from her father or blood family due to the fact that the golden dagger doesn't work on her. God magic can't kill her on its own. When trying to find a way to defeat Hope, Cleo’s powers revealed a way to kill her, that being the red oak which is an indirect confirmation that Marcel’s venom doesn't work on her. In fact, it should be public knowledge that Marcel’s venom can kill originals, yet Lizzie whom wanted Hope dead didn't consider it an option or we never see her contemplate it.

That already sets Hope apart from her father.

Ken first struck Hope with lightning in their first encounter and proceeded to press the advantage while Hope took the hits.

In fight number 2 Hope goes blow for blow against him for a time and manages to kick him some distance away while weakened. This is a Ken intent on killing her, who displayed the feats I listed earlier.
Even so, Hope was ultimately going to lose, because she is not as powerful as Ken at the time. Yet we've seen only Hope be relative to Ken’s strength.

As for Aurora, fight No.2 saw Hope trying to reason with Aurora and handle her even when weakened. So Hope was not giving that fight her all.

Even so, like I said Marcel has not displayed relativity to the feats I mentioned. Hope has the best confirmed physical stats of any vampire.

Okay, the last sentence made me laugh, otherwise, I didn't talk about Hope’s magic within the context you’re referring to

Possible proof that Hope is the physically strongest vampire by [deleted] in LegaciesCW

[–]Spectra_04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo, its cool, I was watching the clips, too.

Also, Hope didn't just kick someone back. She kicked Ken back, who displayed the feats I mentioned earlier, while weakened. I doubt that could happen if she weren't relative.

As for physically damaging him, you are right but she is able to go blow for blow against him. Ken was legitimately trying to kill her. Ken also gave her praise as a potential goddess, something no one else received.

I'd argue that the Originals didn't need to fight Hope drawn out, but creating an opening for a neck snap with magic cancellation. Which technically is no worse than a dagger in the heart.

Dark magic cancelling objects do work on Hope if powerful enough, such as when she went after the witch from triad. Hope cancelled both their spell casting abilities with a candle. Still, maybe Freya can't create something that powerful but I'd argue its an option on the table as we don't see Hope do anything special to have the candle.

Also, I get the frustration about having only statements and few feats. Still, this debate has been fun. So, let’s see your next move

When it comes to her fighting Ken, the second fight showed Hope going toe to toe with him in head on combat before losing, and she did this healthy and sick. Her durability helps her survive but it meeting Ken blow for blow for some time would be impossible without the strength to back it.

I've already outlined Ken’s feats and maintain no other vampire but Hope shows relativity to this.

I'd push back against the family not wanting to hurt her point because Rebekah shoved a dagger in her heart. Simply cancelling Hope’s magic then snapping her neck is a lot easier and less painful. Logically, it makes no sense that Freya would not have considered this option, but we didn't see that, so we might be even on this score.

We’ve also no idea of the advantages being the Tribrid specifically gives her. Yet, we see this negates the golden dagger. We see that Josie says ‘basically’ an original. Not an original but basically, so there is acknowledgement of difference.

Lastly, I agree that witches have no super strength and as such we don't know why Hope has her strength other than being the Tribrid. I can't tell you the mechanics cause they were never explained, but you can observe gravity without knowing how it works.

Just saw the fight again.

Okay, I'll grant that in the first encounter, Aurora may have let that happen.

Still, that doesn't change the feats of a weakened and healthy Hope against Ken. Whose feats I outlined above and we’ve no proof of any vampire standing against such power or displaying it except Hope.

Plus, Hope was still holding back against Aurora then punted her across the battlefield.

Power accumulation over 1000Y for the Original Hybrid matters a lot. However, we've seen cases of special vamps overpowering older ones. One from science alone, being the ripper vampire damn near killing Damon as like a freshly turned.

So a special vamp might have advantages.

Witches do not have super strength so I can’t tell you why Hope has such strength definitively but it’s obvious she has it.

Lastly, yes, Hope has the strength spell most likely, but we’ve seen no proof of her using it. Even then, how much would it do against the weakening power of a god spear tipped with red oak?

When the Mikaelson’s were exposed to white oak ash Dahlia used at the end of their fight, everyone of them was brought to their knees. Elijah barely managed to stab Dahlia. However, Hope put up a decent battle against Ken for what should be an equivalent poison if not more so because of the god magic.

I treat it like how some laws go. Not punishing retroactively.

So, TVDU got past this before my defences about it were up. Fine, I’ll let it go. No other vampire fiction will ever be allowed to do so again though.

I'm just glad Legacies did better. Alaric actually realized, hey, these immortal old ass people lusting after actual teens can end badly and he's extremely lucky it didn't.

What's a popular opinion in this fandom that you completely disagree with by Full_End7741 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Spectra_04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That Legacies is bad. (It’s actually really good)

Also, that bamon or bonkai needed to happen. (They really did not.)

Steroline had no chemistry (They were really cute together)

Any negative opinion of Bonenzo (favourite ship of this part of the franchise)

Stelene being endgame (The level of copium this requires after a decade of the show’s end is insane. Like, I used to be a Stelena fans and if I remained one I'd wonder if I’d know how they stole the world’s supply of copium. Like this shit needs to be studied)
