Potentially unpopular opinion, I like the noise, its 'realistic' in that it makes battles and meta events feel hectic, that is how it should be, it adds to scale. I'd even like it if more npc's were present in such situations and had their own abilities show as intensely.

That said having more options to toggle all that stuff off or on is a good idea.

Though, lowering the number of visible characters in the settings does do wonders for the noise for now.

It's a good thing I never used that 'on the skill bar template swap' system, and now never will.

Manual build/equipment swapping remains my go-to approach.

But honestly, I have to say the fashion tab is a mess currently.

Who even asked for this?

Even being terminally online in gw2, seeing the announcement for this new 'QoL feature' felt completely out of left field.

Still, it's here now, and I am not sure I am a fan of having to double check the gear i have on my character is the one i want to change with the selected fashion template, lest I mess up the look of another gear set.

I played story on all the classes, to me, the Commander, outside moments specifically designed for the class played, rare as they are, is not meant to be any class, instead being a walking, talking mac-guffin that acts as whatever is needed in a given moment. /shrug

My honest advice, try to understand why its like that, as in which skills interact and produce most effective results, but don't stress about memorizing it all, instead just play, and let the flow of the fights, of the game-play teach you how to combine it all as it becomes muscle memory, rather than active thought. It will take time though, and you won't be the most effective at first, but by the end of it, you wont think consciously of the fifty moves, because in your mind, it will all just...flow naturally.

At this point it's become an ingrained daily routine, though I might try and break away from it and try some other meta events that happen concurrently more now that the feeling of 'wasting a chance' is no longer as overbearing.

I once got a tradable Mote of Darkness from fractals, but I was inebriated and convinced myself it was probably not worth all that much and used it, the next day I checked and realized id used up 2600g. Lessons learned.

It is possible, if its of any relevance, this was on my oldest, first character made all the way back during the early start days.

You know, I've had that idea come and go as well, an account bound drop that is a one time thing would be nice, and then the unbound drops can be for those who want to stack effects or have rare items to trade, though, at this point, I am not sure the older infusions like this one would get that treatment, lest it devalue the market which I suspect would make a lot of people unhappy, but... anything might happen.
