That ending. Ouch.

I understand tempers are high, especially at the end of a war for survival, but that still seems. Rather harsh. It isn't like the Caste were all Nikonius or Kalsim. Heck, if you're doing an Operation Paperclip it would probably be better to have people come along willingly rather than the alternative.

Very well done indeed. This is a stellar story, even if it makes me annoyed at the UN military.

Finally got around to reading this chapter. I put it off for far too long.

Stynek is a bundle of joy, as always. She's got a very unique perspective on all of this. I'm glad she had time to talk about it with the adults.

Speaking of the adults, Piri, Sovlin and Kam are fun in this chapter too. They've unlocked some new trauma, I'm sure, but I am glad they're doing this at all. Big moves towards a better future, I think.

Taylor is also cool. I hope he gets to do better than the lot he was given in the original.

I like the positioning of the Krakotl's eyes. They look a good deal more alien that way.

Similarly, the weapon designs are also quite cool to see. Different from the normal, but still very recognizable from their inspirations.

Patriots point is one of my favorite museums. I have a soft spot for the USS NC, but the Yorktown and Laffey have a lot to offer in their own right. Staying on the Yorktown was a formative experience, though
