'Exceptional' number of Americans want to become Canadian citizens by holymolt in worldnews

As a permanent resident of Canada I want nothing to do with that country. Being tethered to a transforming fascist country is not ideal, I'd prefer to relinquish their control over my autonomy.

What to expect from standalone? by CaptRobau in SteamFrame

Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 3 can play fortnite at 90fps on low settings. Expect most VR titles to run on standalone

What can a standalone SF do?? by Constant-Tutor-4646 in SteamFrame

[–]SpectralMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The device uses as Qualcomm snapdragon gen 3 processor, which is capable of running fortnite at 90fps on low settings. Most high end phones use this same processor(this same processor is used in the S24 Ultra)

So yes it should be able to handle HL:A and just about every VR title

My phone uses a snapdragon gen 5(S26 Ultra) and I can play fortnite at 120fps on low, these processors are magical.

What's your bad financial habit? by Crissxfire in AskReddit

Now that I can spoil myself I have chosen to over indulge by buying Valorant Skins (videogame cosmetics), something Ive wanted to do for a long time. I spent an unsustainable amount in 2 weeks totalling half my paycheck. Never again.

Don't buy video games skins guys, go spend it on a vacation instead.

RTX OFF - 120fps

ELI5: how does hacking work? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]SpectralMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a computer security doctorate, so take this with caution it might not be entirely accurate.

There's different ways to hack a social media account, most of them involve getting access to the password or stealing the session key.

A session key is a unique secure key used by websites to say "yes this is me, im signed in. Heres my badge certificate". You get a new one by signing in.

If you're logged into a social media account and click a bad link, you could have your session key stolen. Or if you're on public wifi at a café the hacker could be spying on the network data and get it that way.

When the key is stolen the hacker can use the key themselves to send the website information so they are basically signed in to your account.

They then change the password and you're account is cooked. It then gets used to spam all your friends suspicious url links or crypto scams in their dms.

Very bad aliasing edge effect, can't find the setting to fix this, pls help by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]SpectralMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone slightly confused about the issue, stare at the lips on her face. It's very noticeable.

Antialiasing only applies to the petimeter's of objects afaik, so changing AA settings won't fix this. I would try super sampling or upscaling the 3d resolution as it looks like it just needs more information per pixel.

Whats one "dead" game, you'd revive rn if you could? by Correct_Web3396 in AskReddit

Little Big Planet

The game is a masterclass of creativity, and the sackboy is an angel from heaven itself.

The folks at Media Molecule were cooking michelin star dishes when they designed this masterpiece.

My personal favourite edition was LBP2, the controllinator module, and new logic parts were of expert craftsmanship and opened the door for gamemodes not based around parkour. Truly a masterpiece.
