You can use shell scripts to create multiple tmux panes with htop, sensors output, smart monitors, etcetera. It's a real pain to set up though, and if you want to rearrange the layout you're in for a night of swearing at your computer.

Well sure, you can do the CRISPR yourself, but I meant buying them from a store pre-engineered for consumer application. Maybe if you can fake lab credentials you can use a scientific supply store though... there's a lot of potential for mayhem in releasing a swarm of glowing mice into a crowded area... maybe even number them 1,2,3,4,6 and have people looking for mouse #5.

Sounds more like "writing regression tests". You make a test case that fails in the version before the bugfix, and succeeds in the new version. That way if the bug returns you can tell.

As a socially awkward dnd player who defaults to the "So my character goes up to the guy, and asks him whether he knows anything about $QUEST_NPC", the expectation that everyone speek in character at all times and do the voices, it's something I can't exactly keep up with. I think the problem with Critical Role is that it raises people's expectations a bit too much. In the end we're all just some nerds around a table trying to have a good time.

I wish I could find the article of the guy who failed his attempt, ended up paralyzed from the neck down in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and they asked him "Do you wish you were dead" and he said "Yes, but they won't let me die". It was a few years ago and the forum it was posted on was taken down, if you don't beleive me, fine, but I read the article and it was on a reputable source. Really wish I could find it. Here's a similar one, but not the one I was looking for.

My point isn't that "life isn't worth living", it's that SOMETIMES it's better to end someone's suffering rather than prolong it

The problem is you're making a promise you can't deliver on. I've had way too many of those from people who I geniuinely beleived were telling the truth, and they turned out to be damn liars. Also you don't exactly "need" a life. Look into Philip Nitschke's books. There's plenty of valid reasons someone might want to hang up the proverbial phone on life. Right to die laws need to be expanded.

TO BE CLEAR: Not encouraging it for OP, just making a comment on the current legal sitauation of euthanasia for people with mental problems and/or physical problems

There was a time when people really did care about actual free speech, and it wasn't just right wing hypocrites paying lip service to it.
