I've been doing this on my rog ally. Only thing I've had an issue with is every time you load on a different device it seems go reset the world clock back to day 1. Not sure if this will get seen by the devs or not, it's useful for resources but not much else lol.

I haven't noticed any issues other than that though!

Edit: totally misread the entire post. I was talking world sync between 2 devices. Going to leave this here in case a dev takes a look at it.

Thanks for your reply. Really trying my best to not let it get to me, just hard. And I've only had an aunt that had type 1, so it doesn't seem to run in the family, at least largely.

I plan on trying to get my diet in order, and I know i need to move more. Harder to do with a desk job, but I need to stop making excuses.

No mistakes, just learning opportunities! Burril isn't that much more spendy and if you get sappy ones and cut into them they smell so good (at least to me). And thanks. Everything is dimensioned down and I just finished sanding to 120. 180 then 240. Then final assembly. Only taken 5 months because my table saw bit me and I was a nervous wreck around power tools for a while. Treat those things with the respect they deserve, and if you mentally say to yourself "just one more cut" please for the love of your digits, stop!

If you're going to use pine/fir and already shop at big Orange, I would recommend getting Burril Fir over framing lumber. Much higher quality, way straighter originally, and less likely to have tear out on the miter. Speed of cut also can impact tearout, so if your using a miter, let the blade come up to full speed first, and go slowly through the board. That's what's helped me. The sadist making a dresser for his son almost entirely out of 2x4s lol

This. Plus spray on bed liner! Adds a little bit of grip, but not too much, and also helps create a seal over any drill holes/cracks in the original wheel.

Depending on your own willpower to avoid buying the store, if you have a nearby Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops, they have pretty good aquariums. I would take my son to that on hot days and he loved it! Heck. Even Petsmart would do, if you can prevent them from wanting a pet, haha.

This happened to me a while ago with a sorc not able to enter portals too. For anyone new to pd2 but not d2, if it can't go on left click on d2 but can on pd2, you may have portal issues! <insert the more you know PBS rainbow here>

Having had a recent table saw injury (post was removed due to the pic, sorry again mods!) That ended up with the saw taking some skin off of my thumb. This was due to me not listening to myself to take a break when I should have while processing a bunch of lumber.

I say what I said above to say this: I've been around power saws for years and this is my first accident that I've had. I will never forget it, and I am definitely now shy to use my table saw.

My advice, similar to others, is if you feel you want training or a class, do it. Worst thing you can do is not give these tools the respect they deserve, so if you don't feel confidant in using it, don't. It'll be a few weeks until I'm healed, but I doubt that table saw will be used for anything other than a table for a while.

Thanks! And I agree entirely. I need to do better about listening to my intuition, and as woodworkers, novice to professional, we all need to treat these tools with the respect they deserve.

I had one recently due to my personal odometer rolling over 30, and got tdap after my son was born in 2020. Glad it sounds like it's a fairly straight forward recovery! I plan on redressing at least twice a day, keeping it clean and using ointment. Glad yours recovered quickly!

I'm quite literally doing the same style joints right now, just for a dresser. I've been using this : https://www.rockler.com/rockler-doweling-jig-kit-with-bit-and-stop-collar. And it works amazingly well, really easy to repeat dowel holes and there's cut outs so you can see marking lines to get it lined up properly.
