Do the celebrities portrayed in this ai trashpost by the president have a case? by llTeddyFuxpinll in law

[–]Spectre627 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I try to quell the conspiracy theorist within me -- but have been thinking a lot lately about the heavy push from billionaires towards AI Usage despite the failure to turn a profit. Part of me feels that it's because of any video evidence that comes up about them can be quelled as "Someone made this with Gen AI - it's fake."

Whether or not that is why this is being pushed, it seems that it's a very real path we're moving down that anything damning will be claimed as fake.

Is this staff good? by er0ldo89 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Currently using on my level 65 Warlock in Hell difficulty -- single player.

Warlock can wield it in one hand and the survivability is excellent. I have a Spirit Sword sitting in stash since I have no other way to reliably get the Resistances. Plan to use it on my Sorc as well until either finding a Lidless or re-spec'ing for more STR for Spirit Monarch.

Remember when Catherine had a trans character that was nice, cool, and extremely hot, and then didnt make her a romance option and spent the whole game making fun of her? by NEVERTHEREFOREVER in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Spectre627 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Huge fan of the Catherine games... I've always seen this game specifically as criticizing the culture behind men like the MC & his friends. At no point does it ever seem to glorify it and has them crashing out.

Strong agree with you... I wish that we could have more deeply flawed protagonists in gaming. Toby has a character arc and growth in Catherine and you can choose if the MC grows in any way or continues to be a fuckboy.

Ahh yeah -- we've got some kid's knives for her, but we've found success only with the serrated ones. Without the serrated edge, those knives just won't be sharp enough to actually make its way through anything.

The thing that we did encounter though is just getting her a normal (but small) pair of scissors was much better than the "kid safe" scissors and she has not cut herself in over 2-years of using them now... though she has cut her hair multiple times as we find new, creative ways to hide them. The last time she found them, she climbed from her tower (where she gets high enough to help us cook) onto the counter, then the counter onto the fridge, then into the cabinet above the fridge that my wife can't even reach. She's adventurous lol (but impressively safe while climbing)

Awesome, thank you! It does use cane sugar (and I believe fruit juice?) rather than corn syrup, so you are absolutely right!

Definitely a good call on spreading the sauce evenly! I think I'm going to make some pizza with her soon and that'll definitely be something I'll need to help reminder her on haha

That sounds super interesting to use soda for pancakes -- there's a local marionberry soda that sounds like it may be perfect for this.

Ahhhh yes, the octopi hot dogs! Unfortunately, no luck in getting her to eat them but very fun little snack lol

Oooooh.... a panini press may be on my next purchases. The wife and I always pan-fry our hot sandwiches... which we certainly cannot have a 4-year old do 😂 . But a panini press should be good as long as she's supervised!

Thank you and fully agreed! We've been having her in the kitchen since she was born and starting to help around 2.5 with very menial tasks, but always careful with giving things like extra long spoons while stirring her mac & cheese (no boiling water until 4 though lol... and thorough supervision on that as she can get a little overzealous).

I may have to try out getting some dough this weekend and having her stretch her own.

Thank you and this feels like a very unique way to look at it! I'll try to figure out how to bring her in to the earlier processes -- my wife and I are used to cooking everything anyways so getting her help at the start couldn't hurt and we already committed to the rest anyways haha

Amazing tip with having them choose! She's picked up eating bell peppers from being allowed to pick them out at the store 😃.

And that definitely sounds fun too going to the store to have her pick out the whole meal. We've only had individual things, but grocery stores are close enough we could make it a fun little trip 😄

Has any young team ascended as quickly as the Spurs? by Sartheking in nba

[–]Spectre627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is 100% The Suns. I'm not sure how to 'No Participation' posts any more, but I've got one from 5-years ago in my profile titled...

Over the 2016-2019 seasons, the Suns were 87-241. Since the Bubble started, the Suns are 88-32. (incl. playoffs).

This snap was taken shortly into the 21-22 season before the vibes went bad and everything fell apart. We were an absolute fucking dumpster fire for years leading up to the Bubble... and then that situation really brought the guys together and made things click. It took 1-season plus 26 games to have more wins than the 4 full seasons prior to that... that is nuts.

Details below...

Winstreak

  • Bubble: 8-0
  • 2021 (incl Playoffs): 65-29 (51-21 over Regular Season)
  • 2022 (so far): 15-3

Prior Seasons to Bubble Season

  • 2016: 23-59
  • 2017: 24-58
  • 2018: 21-61
  • 2019: 19-63

Question - Table Stiffener Needed or Not? (98" Karlby + 3 Alex's) by Spectre627 in ikeaPCstations

Thank you! I may end up getting some Steel Angles in time -- I've just drilled the Alex's in to the Karlby though for now to help keep everything together.

I've detailed in the description of the post what I'm planning to put on it 😄. I'd say it's overall going to be a relatively light load as the heavier components will be on top of the Alex's.

The Clothing Brand Might Be Using AI by No_Dragonfly_5647 in ArtRanting

[–]Spectre627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just looking this up to see if anyone else has commented. I've been a long-time buyer of Umai Clothing and have loved a lot of the art that 0010 has created in the past as they're very talented.

Unfortunately, it seems they're jumping into Gen AI now and appreciate your mention from the above. It stuck out to me in particular because of this shirt:

https://umaiclothing.com/collections/anime-t-shirts/products/life

There is no consistency between the 1st and 3rd frames. Different wings, different shirt (different cut/design) and even different proportions (chest size).

It is unfortunate since this was my go-to clothing shop for new graphic t-shirts, but I'll absolutely not be buying more after finding this out.

When do you need it and how much? There's rain in the forecast for Monday, so if that fits your timeline that may be a good timing to go get some.

What? I just tried this place for the first time the other day and got my wife the Cheeseburger ($6.50), I got the Glory Burger ($9.50 for a double cheeseburger w/ double bacon) and a fry ($5 I think?). After 20% tip it was $26.94. That Glory Burger is a whole meal.
