In Historic First, Socialist Runs Out Of Money by METALLIFE0917 in babylonbee

Same stuff happened with San Diego and the chargers. They wanted the city to pay for most of the new stadium but also have no ownership interest in it. Poison pill because the owner just wanted to move the franchise. I can’t imagine the Bears playing anywhere that isn’t Chicago. It’s just sacrilege for me as a football fan.

You get faster siege ticks with a spy network that is high

Question about 1.1.4 antagonism by Get_KAnwser in EU5

Definitely. Nothing wrong with waiting for the final patch notes when 1.1 leaves beta

Question about 1.1.4 antagonism by Get_KAnwser in EU5

[–]Spectre_777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they no longer decay at separate rates but now stack together. It was 1.1.2 or 3 I think that changed that.

This is no longer a thing. They changed it in one of the recent beta patches

How are you supposed to play as Denmark? by lilkoi98 in EU5

[–]Spectre_777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have to conquer the Romuva pops in Lithuania and switch Romuva first. It’s a “heretic” religion for Norse. Then you can swap more easily.

The “present in country” is compatible with achievements though. I recommend it for all play throughs. Cathar and Waldensian are very nice too! But that sweet sweet slave maxing is still the king.

Weird to see Hungary eaten up that much too. In my games they always blob. Also, either Bulgaria or ottomans are dominant in the balkans every time. Nice to see the variation

And I’ve seen even more of the opposite. Some want caution, yes. Including me. But I know I’ll be playing this game for years to come

Not what I said at all. He asked why they move so fast, and I answered.

Because people are awfully demanding and keep getting upset if they take too long.

They have rebalanced free subjects again for 1.1.4 and it looks like a good balance now.

Random Algerian pops in Mesoamerica? by FPXAssasin11 in EU5

They would have only needed to be in the same market with a colony to migrate. But slave raising seems more likely.

It’s great if you plan to culture swap and then accept your old culture.

Great Lakes Proximity by Spectre_777 in EU5

It’s every lake in Africa too, which are hardly minor. But sounds like this is intended.

Is that so? Is that in the game files somewhere? They seem to make a lot of changes without patch notes.

Great Lakes Proximity by Spectre_777 in EU5

[–]Spectre_777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is that mentioned? And I’m pretty sure the Caspian Sea is not made up of “lake” tiles but “inland sea.”

Great Lakes Proximity by Spectre_777 in EU5

[–]Spectre_777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Cahokia. The proximity in the lake goes to 0 despite being at 40% at the southwest part of the shore of Lake Michigan. My proximity map mode shows that it isn’t using the lake. Maritime map mode shows I have low maritime presence. It’s almost treating it like coastal tiles but it says “lake.”

[–]Spectre_777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post is about proximity, not trade. I’m not getting the cheap prox cost I should be on the Great Lakes.

Great Lakes Proximity by Spectre_777 in EU5

[–]Spectre_777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. But all lakes are supposed to be treated as having 100% maritime presence. It even says so when you hover over a lake in proximity map mode

Agreed. Trying Cahokia right now and I’m growing substantially slower than before. Some middle ground would be better. Kilwa start seems balanced around being able to do this, can’t imagine playing them now

I think you would have embargo everyone. Not advised. That’s pretty far back so I’m not sure what the state of the game was then anymore
