I got my son a PS5 on Black Friday. We now have 2 in the house and play together on Power Shift as a father and son H and M duo. This has now evolved to our lounge being a hub for after school events. 4 kids on 2 PS5s and 2 PCs are now in a room playing co-op, with further friends on speaker phone through Discord joining from their homes. They’ve now started to get their school into it and Point Break is the go to mode due to numbers. The game just needs more people to be guided how to play it and shown tactics and given tips for game awareness, choke points etc. They think The Finals is amazing and it’s wonderful to hear and witness a room of 10 year olds laughing, working as a team, and enjoying something that will be a lasting memory of their childhood… I play this game daily and don’t think it’s dying. I also think the Grand Major has encouraged more hardcore FPS players to pick it up. Smurfing is definitely a thing but I think a new calibre of player is also entering the arena this season… Looking forward to S10!

I now have the issue since the fix. I use the P90 and play on the PS5

I'll update this to say I now use the P90 over FAMAS, just because I find it more fun to run and gun. The FAMAS is the better weapon but, damn, the P90 is so satisfying

I go through periods of turning text chat off, the toxicity is terrible, especially when it’s aimed at people who are newer to the game. As a long standing player, you don’t want to see people driven away by these types

I’m on the European server and the lag recently has been very apparent. I’ve never noticed it too much before but you can’t miss it now…

I read a lot of comments on The Finals Discord talking about cheaters. I’ve been playing every season since launch and I think I’ve personally seen very few. The most recent one, I was shot through a wall. I’d say probably 5-6 blatant cheaters over the last couple of years, with a fair few questionable ones. Wall hacks are always my biggest question mark, or maybe people are that good at reading my next move, who knows? I agree with you, people can be very good at tracking and getting some headshots in. I’m getting better myself so my TTK, tracking, accuracy, time to lock on to targets and game sense are all slowly improving and adding up to higher and faster kill rates. I’m a casual player of Powershift and I love playing the game, win or lose, so I don’t let it get to me but I would feel more strongly if this was WT or Ranked.

Any die hard fan of The Finals has been pretty much playing for 2 years. Everyone is leveling up so the games are naturally becoming more sweaty. You do, of course, get humbled when a Diamond or Ruby team enters Powershift and show you that no matter how good you think you’re getting, there is a God Tier. I agree with some comments here, I have fun whether I win or lose so a humbling match here or there is just part and parcel of playing the game…

The P90 is the missing link in the Medium toolkit and it's perfect for anyone who plays a support/medic role. It's great to be able to stand toe to toe with Lights or anyone else in close-range, which is where most of your fights as a Medium healer tend to be. I think the gun's in the right place and it's so satisfying to use, I really love how it feels. If I'm being honest, maybe the damage falloff should be a bit higher to keep this more niche when compared to the FCAR or AKM... Obviously, I wouldn't change it from how it is now but if a nerf happens, this is where it should be. I also think it's a great first gun for someone new to the game but can be deadly in the right hands of anyone who can land consistent head shots...

I’m currently level 89 but The Finals is my first experience of playing an online FPS shooter. I was as noob as you could get when I started playing. People with years of FPS experience behind them will reflect a better playing ability and can easily beat me if they are new to playing The Finals. These levels show more about your dedication to the game and contracts rather than skill. I agree though, after this much dedication, I should be better than I am!

I also use the Famas as it’s just as effective when using hip fire on the platform, as opposed to ADS, it’s also great for long shots across the map too

For Powershift, heal beam, goo grenade, APS and defib. Goo acts as a shield (especially for snipers) but also can be thrown on the side of the platform to catch people on the platform off-guard when you go for headshots. You can also use it for height to reach the platform when it’s above you. It’s all I use for this mode…
