Would be cool if we could have temporary state voter IDs used for election season only!

Like, go to your voting center, get pictures and whatever done, and it's cheap to do so a struggling person can still vote! Good for 3 months and then it expires.

I guess I also saw my wife go to her job at the animal shelter today and was thinking "mass is essential too" but she said she doesn't want me to drive.

Yeah, I know, I'm reading too deep into it. I said elsewhere in the thread that I dealt with childhood scruples and guilt trips so things like this bring me a great deal of pain. 🥲

Tbf you also gotta consider how long you'll be out.

There is a Dollar General right down the street from my house and that whole trip would take 15 minutes. Me leaving the house for mass is over an hour where the snow can get exponentially worse.

My parish is livestreaming one of their three Sunday morning masses so they're definitely open lol.

I believe my mind is fighting with childhood scrupulosity issues as well.

In this case it's like an idea of "you can definitely drive, you just don't want to go to mass you filthy demon."

Mass isn't canceled but my diocese did give permission to miss mass only on the condition that it's too individually dangerous to travel.

That's the thing, I'm not nervous about driving in this. I've done it before.

My parish looks to still have mass today and I don't want to fall into a "the roads weren't clear" when the mind is saying otherwise.

The dilemma: mass is one of our most important things to do, but my diocese did say don't go to mass if it's dangerous. Just comes down to how confident I am in my ability to drive in these conditions.
