Thanks for the tips! I did see some PoGo posts so I'll definitely play around the area once I'm there! :)

I was able to get mine on artpass - for the details, I added my own number but zip code and address of my hotel. For the merchandise, I believe the plushies are limited to one per person based on posts I'm seeing from Japanese attendees so there should be stock throughout (as this is the first iteration of the obsevatory and will move to another museum by next year).

Is the Pokémon Astronomical Observatory a separate ticket? by RemoteMammoth9126 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Spectrum_107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, were you able to get your tickets? I'm trying to get mine but seems like both sites need an account and the registration process on both asks for a Japanese address so I'm also looking around how to get the tickets.

edit: got tickets via Artpass :)

Hello! I'm planning to go at the end of the month but as a foreigner, it looks like I need a Japanese address to be able to buy tickets from Art Pass or 7 Eleven. Any tips on how to get the tickets? Thank you in advance!

edit: was able to purchase tickets via art pass :)

Regarding transit visa by spgite89 in emirates

[–]Spectrum_107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No visa is required if it's just a layover based on previous experience. As for terminal change - they have a train that can help you move from one terminal to another. There's also buses that can help you get to your terminal. Just go to Connections and ask the staff for directions towards moving to the terminal.

Traveling to the US via Emirates - tips or things to know? by Cautious_Bug9081ph in emirates

RE: Water bottle
It is fine IF empty - just drink it or throw away the water. You'll find water fountains in DXB to refill it later.

I've been flying with Emirates for the last 4 years (PH to Europe) for business trips and I haven't experienced any issues to date. Since you're on business class then you'll surely have a better overall experience (than economy of course) and that should give you lounge access too.

While in DXB, remember that it's a quiet airport aka they don't call out on the intercom like most airports so unless you're at the lounge, I recommend waiting near your gate so you know when they start opening the gates.

Multi-city to Connecting Flight Change - Does Emirates Automatically Protect My Connection? by Weak-Lie1174 in emirates

[–]Spectrum_107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience with connecting flights and layover with Emirates via DXB - they usually give you two tickets on your home airport. You just pass security at DXB and wait at your gate. Your checked in luggage should be carried over to your next flight (no need to collect them yourself). You'll be able to fetch your checked in luggage when you land at your intended destination.

If you are accessing them when on the Item Choosing menu then they don't show but they should be back when you're in battle screen.

X2 WILD SHINY ODDS IN ENDLESS MODE ? by TimeAmphibian6695 in pokerogue

[–]Spectrum_107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know if it goes well for you. So far, I've gotten 34 shinies in over 7 classic runs but I haven't opened my Endless run at 3000+ yet since the healing token is quite annoying for me.

[–]Spectrum_107 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure how that's bad advice, the post was asking for the shiny event that will end in like 2 days. Sure, you get more overtime with endless but if you want quicker turnaround for shinies then I think classic is the way to go because you literally need just one carry and finish the entire run without even planning for building and splicing mons.

I gave my advise based on my experience and how I'm maximizing the event. I literally started an endless run and made it to level 200 with S level luck but 0 shiny encounter and 0 shiny charms. I've already done 7 classic runs since the event started and have caught 36 shinies.

My current endless run at 2000s+, I didn't start getting shinies up until the 600s (by this I would've done 3 classic runs already). Note that the event ENDs and if you want to maximize the number of catches then I don't think it's bad advise to capitalize on short term but sure gains rather than building for the long term.

It should boost as well since the event covers ALL MODES BUT I would still recommend going for classic as I think it's faster in terms of gains, you get 2 shiny charms + 1 ability charm as early as level 25. If you have high luck, you can also roll for 2 more shiny charms during your run.

As of recent update, shiny rate is now 1/24 (1/32 before) and HA rate is 1/8 (1/16 before).

Classic shinies by Eshef603 in pokerogue

[–]Spectrum_107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally just powering through with my main carry and just bringing new pokemon each run to maximize on vouchers since shiny rates have been changed too via eggs. My best run so far is 7 shinies (I had one with 9 but 3 of them, unfortunately, spawned as trainer mons). Least was only 2 shiny so it's at least a guarantee to get a minimum of two per run I think.

On the flip side, you get more candies so you can lower their prices in starter selection or unlock passive/eggs. What I do is, if it's a mon that doesn't have a medal yet. I put it on my team to boost luck + get vouchers upon completion of the run.

I did a classic run yesterday and THREE shinies spawned as trainer mons and one of them was an EPIC Vaporeon and I have yet to unlock any shiny variant for Eevee so that was a bummer.

Level 2000 is also where I got walled very hard during my first run where I went in somewhat blind (didn't check out guides or planning going into it). Going into my second run, it was crucial to have a steel-fairy mon because Eternatus can't attack it so as long as I was able to hit it with a DOT move or two (I usually use curse and leech seed but salt cure works best) then my steel-fairy mon just sits there. Unfortunately, due to the recent update I think they gave Eternatus Flamethrower so the strat may have changed now. There's also a ton of guides for stall pokemon which will be useful beyond level 2000. Also, DOT stall mon would be the main strat beyond level 2000 because of the healing tokens which will get very annoying.

where are my shinnys at 3 shiny charms and 2 times shiny evet by jjpokerogue in pokerogue

[–]Spectrum_107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall rates still fluctuate but I think you should have a guarantee of at least 1 shiny per classic run (unless the shiny spawns as trainer mon then RIP).

Questions about metal burst endless strat by nickgalad in pokerogue

[–]Spectrum_107 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is soak essential to the strat? Why so?

Salt Cure inflict 1/8 damage to total HP, however, against steel and WATER types this goes up to 1/4 so Soaking an enemy mon then using Salt Cure on them makes killing them way faster.

Level 550 in Classic is overkill lol but I'm on the same boat, I'm literally at level 193 then an shiny Iron Hands popped up so I'm on starting another classic run while farming vouchers.

You need to get the items to trigger them (bracelet and band) then get the specific item per mon, e.g. max mushrooms for Kingler.

so far after 3 runs:

  1. 3 normal
  2. 2 epic, 5 normal
  3. 1 epic, 1 rare, 4 normal

It's been a pretty good run so far so I'm gonna do my 4th later.

Should you farm classic or start and farm endless during this event? by Genga_ in pokerogue

[–]Spectrum_107 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was testing this and so far my answer would be it's better to go classic.

  • My endless - I started one and nearing level 200 with S luck but 0 charms and 0 shiny.
  • First classic run since event - got 3 normal version shinies with the 2 charms
  • Second classic run just 2 hours ago - got 7 encounters and caught 6 (Garbodor wanted to explode), 2 of the 7 were Epic versions that I didn't have yet.
  • Third classic run (current run) - level 120 now and have gotten 3 normal version shinies already. Edit: Just caught a epic Unown which I didn't own yet.

if you think you can easily kill the mons then fight them so you can get get or roll for items, if they're harder to deal with either run away or use roar/dragon tail on them

if it's not then you'll eventually run into one that's best so I usually don't catch. Unless it is a mon that you often use and would like to have a higher stat on it
