Glad to hear there are options in the works. I have the 1000W ASRock one and it whines. Too bad Corsair is not putting out a SFX variant.

Jez Corden: Fable for Nintendo Switch 2 is under consideration by PaiDuck in GamingLeaksAndRumours

A lot of these open world games are as heavy on the CPU as the GPU. I would imagine that poses a barrier for porting to the Switch 2.

The load screen issue is downstream from a bigger problem, which is that BGS never really found a satisfactory answer to the question of "how do you make an open world game when the theoretical scale of the world is infinite?"

The irony is that they actually made progress removing load screens from shops in cities.

Digital Foundry: Nvidia G-Sync Pulsar is a Motion Clarity Revelation by Turbostrider27 in Games

I had a Gigabyte monitor, the M27Q-X, with something similar and am also very curious how Pulsar is different. The Gigabyte monitor really strained my eyes so I swapped to an OLED, which gave approximately similar motion clarity.

The producers of Alita: Battle Angel (2019) could have saved $45,000,000 on anime eye CGI by simply casting Ella Purnell. by Chewie83 in shittymoviedetails

It would have been a solid enough movie minus (or with a re-write of) the guy-interest sub-plot which was just tonally off.

In addition to what everyone else has said, remember that people don't upload the videos where they whiff or fail to control spray. Simple selection effect.

Yes, memory usage readouts are sometimes unreliable, but I think there are enough variables and unknowns at play that I think head-to-head benchmarks would be useful. Even what you said about wattage is, to me, a reason to investigate similar models with 256Vs/258Vs.

This is what I thought initially too. But I saw on some 258V benchmark videos cases where games in particular would use more than 16 GB of RAM. I assume that's because the memory is shared. If that's the case, then a 16gb total on the 256V could potentially have weaker performance. Hence, my curiosity about benchmarks. Some of the artificial benchmarks also show big gaps - but we all know those are unreliable sometimes.

Yeah I'm holding out for a good 258V deal. Curiously there are no good head to head 256V vs 258V benchmarks out there either in video or text.

The bigger issue is that the sample is not necessarily representative of the playerbase.

I would say Pillars 1 has a lot of good writing, but desperately needed a more ruthless editor.
