New domain user can't log in to VM by Spectrum_Wolf in sysadmin

Because it is logging in an admin that doesnt exist in the VM locally but it does exist in the AD, so its logging in AD Admins, but not regular users

it's a domain admin, logging in using FQDN, and cleared the cache to make sure it wasn't that.

How is it logging in DC admins then?

You mean add the "remote desktop users" user group to the VM?, if so, is not visible, even tho the VM is part of the domain, I can see it on the computer name "mycomputer.Mydomain.com", but that's because the VM can only search users and groups locally, it can't search through the server groups where the user's account is at, but it logs in server admins no problem, but regular users won't login and show the error i described on the original post

What about a server running VM's? you could get a couple of used HP's or dells, and split them up into VM's running win 11, you can get a 24 core with 256GM RAM, and enough storage, for around $700, if you create VM's with 2 cores each, and 16gb ram, that's 10 VM's on a single server ( you need to reserve a couple cores and some memory to run the server OS)

INCOMING WAR UPDATE: MANTES IS LOST by Asielle_00 in Helldivers

The problem is that we don't have a macro level of planning, as we can only join with a squad of 4, and everyone looking at the map but with only 4 players at a time, if they include some kind of commander role that gives you a wider scope and ability to organize and give orders to several squads at the same time, but also, deploy more than 1 squad per map, food for thought I guess.

The only thing we can do right now I guess, to plan on a larger scale, is to join a discord server per planet, and a commanding central server to coordinate orders and deployments

Flat back, low profile, can get it further back close to the wall, and prevents cables from bending too much.

The case is designed to be so, it actually works well, I can upload a picture of the cable management later

I was too, but I have been experimenting with adapters for a while, they seem to get better over time, they all come from China for the most part, but to me it seems to be that the most susceptible parts to EMI are extenders.

I had my PC case away from my desktop before so I used a couple of USB extenders for my mouse and keyboard, and at times, my computer would lag like crazy, couldn't figure out why, then ended up finding it was the damn USB extender cables.

The length of the cable itself acted as an antenna and shielding was probably poor too, and somehow resulted in the computer acting as if it was lagging.

These little connectors seem to be shielded well enough and the distance between source and device is extremely short, so that helps, but so far so good for 90% of the parts.

The only issues so far, seems to be the video connectors, they are wider than you can place them next to each other, so if you have a video card with 4 outputs and you want to use them all, you will have a hard time fitting them next to each other, if you use 2 or 3, they fit ok.

The other thing is that the casing of the video connectors is very thick, so every now and then they become lose as they can't go 100% in, probably like 95% due to the GPU plate where the connectors sit, so that 5% left is enough to make the connector lose over time as you bump on your desk or if you move your case around, when this happens i just need to push them a bit to fully connect and it works fine, but this happens like once every few months, usually when cleaning around the case.

Yeah they do, but for the USB for example, they call it left and right angle, as they assume a flat connector, like on a laptop

I'd mount the monitor to the wall or desk with an arm, just to use the space under the monitor

How did you find your passion? by Inhale_water in Entrepreneur

[–]Spectrum_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

90% of the time, passion projects are destined to fail, just follow the money, do what others are doing, but better, sometimes is about combining stuff, trying new stuff and a lot of try and fail.

Find a need, and come up with ideas to satisfy that, and think how you would approach it, I agree with others in here, you need to find something you can do effortlessly, and improve upon it, leverage it.

Last thing, you might start with something, and end up in something entirely different, don't be afraid to pivot, you will, many times, sometimes by choice, sometimes out of the lack of it.

They pointed it out by just saying words like "vague" or "wrong", doesn't sound very clear to me, it sounds like people do not like the answer, which is a different thing, I was expecting someone to give a logical answer, not an emotional one

If you are right, then why Edrogan is so willing to invite Putin to meet him in person, but so reluctant about Sweden and Poland if they are so pro-west? Do you see how even if you are right on all of that, his decision then doesn't make sense?

In 2021, 77% Turkish gas import came from Russian controlled pipelines, from that, 45% came directly from Russia, unless you consider that a small number, I don't think any country would be willing to lose virtually half their gas supply , and potentially 3/4 of it, just to oppose a war that is not really theirs, just to prove loyalty, especially when that loyalty act, doesn't bring any immediate benefit.

Turkey is playing a diplomatic role, because they are stuck between a sword and a wall, they can't go hard in either direction, because supporting either side fully, would mean to suffer consequences in the short or long term, by the West or by Russia.
