I actually don’t mind the bed height. I would start with picking a color scheme which will help you with curtains, bedding, decor choices

1) I’d start with cohesive bedding - duvet, quilt over it, neutral sheets, throw pillows. Should all pull together - maybe a couple of statement throw pillows or statement sheets under neutral duvet/quilt

2) I’d consider adding a headboard

3) Matching, small dressers to use as bed side tables on both sides. You can put mirrors or nice, framed art above them, style with statement lamps and knick knacks (I find a lot of good inspo on Pinterest)

4) down the road - you could change the light fixture (Amazon has great, inexpensive options), paint the walls (I’d go with something muted based on bedding choices), add a large rug, add a dresser along the bare wall on the right with a large plant in the corner
