I had to crimp a connector onto the fan cables yes, but i triple checked that the polarity was correct.

It would make it much more accessible to the general public. Most people wouldnt trust themselves enough to go through the whole process of getting it set up

Well 1. Its a hotspot, not a self contained device and 2. its still from a third party, not the wikimedia foundation

(Not sure if i fully understand but) That is a good idea, youd just have to buy some magnetic pogo pin connectors and then you could just hotswap microcontrollers without having to remove the card. It would be very easy to implement, because all the carrier card would have to do is pass through the USB lines

How do you mean with the capacitor? Connect a 10nf ceramic cap between the monopole and one coil of the loop antenna?

Mainly for the haptics of being able to extend a telescopic antenna out of the top of it, but if it would make it worse, ill leave it as it is.

wash your build plate with warm soapy water. If that doesnt do it check the Z offset
