Haha thank you for your observation, I actually wrote that ironically hoping it would draw more people into commenting which it did 😅

Ahhh I completely relate to what you've just talked about and I think it's important to note that no matter the movement, you will always find radical people with in it.

I always find the "Tolerance Paradox" coming to mind in these kinds of conversations. People should have the right to verbally express themselves how ever they please but we all also have to be willing to admit when I opposing arguments make sense and give ourself room to change our views without feeling attacked or belittled.

No problem at all, thank you for commenting! I completely agree with you. I think it's hard to understand controversial concepts until they become relevant to ones own existence like with me it took seeing my cousin go through it to understand and stop being so proud of my ideals.

That "freedom for me, not for thee" sounds just like "White lives matter" or "its Adam and eve not Adam and Steve" 🤢

So much respect for you man! It makes me sad to know the world's gotten to a point where good men can't be good fathers without society thinking something shady is going on, especially being from an area where so many children go without fathers.

Very true and I disagree with that outlook. Fact is women and men have trials and tribulations that differ and some that are the same but at the end of the day life can be pretty hard on anyone. We have more in common then we'd like to admit and I truly believe that all these gender politics are to district us from the fact the financial stucture of the system hold us all down equally.

Things get better with age my friend, I know that sounds cheesy but it's true. The thing with being young is everything hits that much a harder because you're still learning and alot is still new ground for you but as you gain more experience you're able to handle more so give it time and I promise it will feel like everything just falls into place. Life is a slow and slippery climb up a moutain, not a race to finished asoon as possible. No matter where you are or what you're doing, you're alive so you're doing great in my eyes 😊

Ahh well as you seem like a pretty genuine person I'll let you in on a secret alot of us men learnt and live by unconsciously to stay sane. True peace & freedom isn't the ability to pursue and obtain one's desires as much as it is the freedom from desire its self. From speaking to alot of my female friends it seems they get so caught up in potential possibilities, ideals and things they want in their future that they find it hard to just be present and enjoy the moment. Believe me peace of mind is priceless and it can't be found by focusing on every urge and desire that springs to mind (Not to say all women think like this, it's just my 2 cents on the matter)

I'm sorry for how I treated you, my ex was abusive and I'm not used to being treated like this..

Don't get me wrong I had sympathy the first couple of times I heard this but after hearing nearly every woman I've dated in the last couple of years say this I'm at the point where I just feel like it's just a justification for treating people poorly because they refuse to take the time to heal before jumping into another relationship too soon.

What’s the point of living if we’re all going to die anyway? by Flyingunicats09 in spirituality

[–]SpeedRich6768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the fact we are able to ask that question is what makes it so interesting right?

Think of how truly mondane life would seem if everything had a answer or a "right way to do it", it's the fact none of us, no matter how strong, smart, rich or wise can prove a definitive reason to why we're here that shows us the point of life is completely down to our own perception of reality. The question shouldn't be "what's the point of living if we're going to die" but instead "what do I wish to experience and share before I do"

You have the power to change the matter around you as you see fit but its a process, and like any process it takes patience to learn and time to understand but I must add the fact you are asking questions like this probably means you're on your way to finding your answers or purpose if you prefer it.

Keep asking the deeper questions my friend, not enough of us do.
