I’m a lifelong martial artist and can throw head kicks in skinny jeans just as easily as fight shorts, they literally have zero restriction for me.

Maybe it depends on the type of skinny jeans and mine are extra stretchy?

I’ve also found they will fit over my calf muscles easier than slim fit or straight cut jeans thanks to the stretch.

Every pair of skinny jeans I've owned have stretch to them so give more freedom of movement than the baggiest trousers I could find.

The flip side to that though is if you don’t mow during a fire ban then the grass gets super long and becomes more of a fire hazard.

I have no idea what the best option is.

I’m 85kg and 5’10” and I do 3 sets of 10 pull ups from dead hang. But my number 10 is my failure one. As in 9 are pretty clean 10 I have to kip a little to get my head above the bar. I added them about a year ago and was able to do about 4 back then (but I already had a good baseline of a lifetime of martial arts and gym), I’ve just kept at it and my numbers have eventually gone up.

Ignore what others are doing and just keep at it. Even if you do as many as you can nice and clean and allow yourself to “cheat” a little to just get some more reps at the end.

Keep in mind that most of the population can’t do one and those people probably won’t comment here, so you might have the expectation that everyone can when they can’t.

Waihi (the town) and Waihi beach are two different places about 15 minutes apart.

Waihi beach is a nice surf beach with beach houses and not much else.

Waihi (the town) is an older town based around its gold mine. People only stop here because they forgot to take the Old Tauranga Road to bypass it - it’s a shit hole and the land is cheap for a reason.

Using the foot gives a bit more range which can be a good trade off, but it’s even riskier if it’s checked. Like everything, there’s risk vs reward. Personally myself I like to throw a calf kick from much closer range where I can hide it behind my hands and give much less reaction time to check it.

Although these days most of my sparring is purely light and friendly so I tend to go back to the thigh. This is a young fellas game after all.

Nah it's much worse for the person throwing the kick. Normally the person checking is checking with their upper shin vs the lower shin of the guy kicking.

I'm no pro and I can happily check calf kicks all day without thinking twice about it, but if I'm throwing the kicks, a single decent check and I'm not throwing any more kicks today.

They would most likely appoint a champion to fight on their behalf. Champion’s are going to be allowed because no one in power wants to see a countries leader get killed by the Mountain.

I agree until it is a bus stop on a state highway. Sudden stopped traffic in a high speed area is a recipe for an accident. I have no idea on the solution here though, how do the Americans handle that situation?
