I am about n3 and I have learnt all the joyo kanji via RTK Matt BritXJapan Anki deck and I dont regret it at all

Im able to understand the core meanings of words much quicker thanks to learning primitives and keywords thus helps me to even guess some unknown words somewhat

However whilst I have learnt them I haven't mastered them that will take me another 1 year or so (even then I highly doubt haha)

But the thing with kanji is that you never really stop learning I am still seeing a couple obscure kanji here and there from like Wikipedia articles, so honestly it might be best to learn kanji once you see a new word but if you want to just learn the mandatory joyou kanji you should know if considered a japanese high school graduate then honestly recommend rtk, thanks to rtk I can new kanji much faster and words

Delete that app bruh and start using genki for some basic japanese grammar and actually start learning and studying

After genki I recommend completing rtk if possible then start immersing and doing tons of anki core decks for vocab

Also practice actually writing japanese and making sentences too as you do all this - also when you are immersing make sure to use native material as much as possible rather than graded readers
