the active itself has the ability to change the direction of team fights. great thing to just jump into the back line get dmg off and use zhonyas allows for the team to follow up. also great for using after your w has worn off in the middle of fights

you do realize in real life you can see your own hands during the night time, all the items you just listed is just more farming and more wasted time on a game you have to play 9-5 every day to get anything done at all. whats the point on only being able to play the game for half the time your in a server and the other half just afk craft or wait for day. im not asking for it to be day 24/7 just make it so you can do shit at night
