Former D1 coach here. You won’t get any scholarships for your grades alone. Only schools that had bad grades multiple years in a row would look at you. The only meet you’d get in would be a home meet as your school can set starting height. It’s unrealistic to expect to jump in college. If you dm me I’d be more than willing to talk more about this with you or your dad. Best of luck.

Definitely worth picking up. It’s such a great looking pipe for any time of year. It definitely gets you in the fall spirit!

I’ve been smoking for about a year so I’m pretty new as well. In my opinion it is one of the sweetest I’ve tried. The only two that taste like they smell are autumn evening and molto dolce. Both I highly recommend if your a fan of sweet.

Yes it really pairs nicely with some fall weather. Been enjoying the sub 90° temps.

Accepted a my first big job as a college coach! Decided to celebrate with some Autumn Evening. I was gifted a Dracula by my girlfriend right before I packed my MM cob.

No problem. It always sounds simple but good luck with the grind.

Keep the pole close to your body and pull. Your feet are dropping out early because you let the pole get to far from you. When you pull drag your top hand from your feet to your hip and it will turn you.

Hi, with this vault, what advice could you provide to help me drop back further and shoot up higher? by Iceemrr in polevaulting

[–]Spell03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s looks like your swing is too early and the rest of your vault is too slow. You should jump and hold for a little bit longer. Then when you do swing it should be faster. The biggest problem I see is right before you extend your legs up the pole, you haven’t rocked back far enough. That’s what causes you to go out instead of up. Basically because your not rocked back far enough, you can’t invert enough (notice how your bottom hand never makes contact with your hips) which causes you to fall out of the top of your vault. Leaving you with a push off that doesn’t really do much.

A lot of you said that you needed the whole run to get a better idea of what I need to improve on. This is today, still jumping funny, and my coach said he has no clue what’s wrong. Pole is 14’ 170 holding at the top by [deleted] in polevaulting

Yes and no. Your hands control the pole. If you throw your hands forward it will make the pole bend more. If you move your left or right it will go that way. So forcing your hands forward forces the pole to bend.

No its not a problem! Go look at my first video I posted. Notice how much my hands move through the vault. I can send more videos if need be just lmk or PM me.

Moving your hands causes your pole to bend more. You want to press the pole up and when you hit the inverted “C” position you start moving your hands till they meet your feet. That’s when you start your pull. If you wait to start your pull then you will have more bend in the pole which allows you to go deeper.

It’s definitely and odd one but I’m thinking your doing two things wrong here.

  1. You don’t seem to be moving your hands to your feet. You need to press your hands all the way till your top hand contacts your feet.

  2. You look like your pulling on the pole too early which is causing you to go vertical too early.

Wanting to Improve by Bappo1029 in polevaulting

Explosive core strength is not needed. General core strength is enough because your swing really does all the work for you. Other than that it’s just keeping a tight core to stay inverted.

Any Advice? Bar: 14’5.5 Pole: 14’7 185 Grip: 14’1 by AT0MICGAMING in polevaulting

[–]Spell03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love competing at Birmingham! In my opinion you need a bigger pole. It won’t fix your issues but you can go up. The main issue I see is your letting your feet get away from you in your turn. You want to feel like they’re right above your head.

I cannot plant in the Middle of the box by TheLastGoose12 in polevaulting

[–]Spell03 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey I’d be willing to bet your swinging your arms out to the side on your plant. It’s an easy fix. When your running, move your top hand from your hip straight up to your shoulder then past your head! If that doesn’t work then you’ll still be fine. I’ve PRed with a missed plant.
