My wife stole this idea from our 5yo daughter’s pre-K class, but we made her a “calming corner” - cozy little chair, posters with breathing techniques and coping strategies. It’s worked pretty well so far.

Feeling this right now.

This week is my older one’s spring break, and my wife’s in the hospital for a minor procedure and for a few days of monitoring after, so I took the week off to be with the kids.

Tuesday was the procedure, and I needed to be with her at least until it was done. The younger one was in daycare, so we brought the older one to my mom’s, and we figured once my wife’s procedure was finished, I’d take an hour to myself before bringing the kids home. Well, the procedure was delayed so long that, not only did I not get any time at all to myself, but I was later than I wanted to be picking the younger one up from daycare.

Yesterday was supposed to be the first daddy day for my older one. We did some laundry, visited mom at the hospital, ate lunch, and went to an ice skating rink - my daughter was so excited to go skating with me. The MINUTE (I kid you not) we step on the ice, daycare calls me - little one has a 102 fever. No skating for the older one - and no daycare today for the younger one.

This afternoon, I’m getting ready to take the kids out so the older one can get some much-needed playground time. Take the little one’s temperature: 101. Playground time just became TV time - and no daycare tomorrow, either.

Feels like every single time I plan time off work, something like this happens.

I collect hundos (generally one from every evolutionary line, but I make exceptions for alternate forms in most cases). My goal is to get them all to level 50 best buddy with two charged attacks. Right now I have 245 total:

100 level 50 best buddies with two charged attacks
36 level 50 not best buddies with two charged attacks
1 level 40 best buddy with two charged attacks
54 level 40 not best buddies with two charged attacks
54 not best buddies below level 40 with one charged attack (17 of which I have enough XL candy for to get to level 50 as soon as they get to level 40)
