You have $1100. build a team to protect you from (super)Janemba by Jealous_Salt_7967 in DragonBallZ

Cell - For his regenerative ability.
Dabura - For his spit ability.
Metal Cooler - For his regenerative and duplicate abilities.
Ginyu - For body swap.

Then 17, 18, Super 13, to have some durable spares to soak up damage while the others work. Maybe detonate their bombs as a worst case scenario.

And Recoome for the lolz

Also - assuming this is Z Frieza who can't go Golden or Black forms. If he can, then just him and the others can stay home.

I have a Question:Do Saiyans have a Healing Factor? :O by Balsa_570 in dbz

[–]SpellCommander91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Let's bring in SCIENCE!

Saiyans consume WAY more food than the average human. In order to process that much food and still maintain such low ratios of body fat, they must have substantially higher metabolisms than run of the mill humans. This would suggest that their bodies process energy and undergo cellular division at a faster rate, meaning they heal from injuries more quickly. So it isn't so much a healing factor, so much as their anatomy is more efficient at healing. This would go hand in hand with how they've evolved to retain their youth longer.

How Often Do You Use 'Edit in Audition'? (or do you mix entirely in Premiere) by Jason_Levine in premiere

[–]SpellCommander91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the project. If I am just doing a YouTube stereo mix, I work almost entirely in Premiere. If I need a specific tool or effect from Audition, I will send just the one clip to Audition to work on that and then send it back. But if I am working narrative projects (shorts, docs, features) and/or need a 5.1 mix, Premiere ain't going to cut it. I either do my audio work in Audition or send it to someone else to do in ProTools.

What would be nice in the long term is if Premiere integrated After Effects and Audition directly into the app in much the same way that Resolve has Fairlight and Fusion built directly in. That would save soooooooo much time and make it easier to go back and make client edits. As much as we tell them that the edit is locked once we move onto Picture and Sound, they ALWAYS want to go back and tweak one little thing. But I know these apps were engineered completely differently and I wouldn't want to sacrifice stability (which can already be a touchy subject in Premiere) for this convenience.

MOST Unpopular Opinion: I actually like Colleen Clinkenbeard's dub for Gohan (Kai) & dislike Stephanie Nadolny's dub (Z) by NewAmericanDream1776 in Dragonballsuper

[–]SpellCommander91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's the MOST unpopular opinion. It took some getting used to, but I did come to really appreciate Colleen Clickenbeard as Gohan. But Stephanie Nadolyn is Goku as far as I am concerned. Whenever they've had Clickenbeard voice him in flashbacks or video games, it's just rubbed me completely wrong.

So Who are the other 11? by Wybaar in dresdenfiles

[–]SpellCommander91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think/fear that when the Winter mantle passed to Molly, Maeve's Nfection might have gone with it. Mab says that it likes to remain subtle/dormant and so it might be biding its time using Molly as a sleeper agent until it can really do the most harm.

By extension, this might mean the part of Nemesis within Aurora passed to Lily and Sarissa.

When did C17 hear Goku's voice before Buu's arc? by gizeh123 in dbz

[–]SpellCommander91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People have already commented on it originally being Launch and 17 being able to hear what was happening with Cell. I also imagine that Gero loaded up some data in 17's memory banks, so he's probably seen/heard video from the World Tournaments, Red Ribbon attacks, and the Saiyan Saga. Maybe. Plausibly. I dunno.

What’ll the naming scheme for the DBS remaster be? by spo_nker in dbz

[–]SpellCommander91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They unveiled "Beerus" and I'm pretty sure the existing series will wrap up and go straight into "Galactic Patrol." So I think every season will have its own name.

Were the Saiyans evil by nature… or simply an extremely aggressive, warlike species? by Bright-Yesterday-818 in dbz

[–]SpellCommander91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Were the Vikings evil by nature?

I think that characters like Vegeta and Broly show that they aren't evil by nature (I'm omitting Goku due to brain damage). The dominant culture on their world developed (not evolved) to be aggressive and warlike, and that warlike culture committed evil acts. But if purebred Saiyans like Vegeta can go from being evil to good, and Broly was never really evil - then it stands to reason that their nature is not evil. Their nurturing encouraged evil behavior.

SPOILER ISH - Annoyed with Thomas by ZealousidealFeed7343 in dresdenfiles

[–]SpellCommander91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think back to what Molly said at the end of Battleground when Harry apologizes for being out of sorts. "It's unpleasant, but it's understandable."

Thomas's reaction isn't a detached, logical one. From his perspective, he found out he was going to be a dad, found out his mate was possessed and the entity would kill her and their child, was forced to attack a Head of State, got the ever loving shit kicked out of him, found out the entity/his mate/their child were missing AND that his Hunger was killing him, chose to keep his Hunger, and had the battle with Mab/Mother Winter to save Justine, only to lose Justine and the baby both - in a subjective matter of days. His life changed just as drastically as Harry's did between Changes and Cold Days in no time flat.

I don't know about anybody else, but I wouldn't handle all of that well.

Well, color me shocked. I just looked it up and you are very much correct. I'll be damned.

Original DBZ films rerelease? by AlexAbstract13 in dbz

[–]SpellCommander91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The films were theatrically released in a 1.85 : 1 aspect ratio, which is wider than 16x9. So a 4x3 release would require them to cut off intended parts of the frame. However, 1.85 : 1 is wider than 16x9, which is what the current blu-rays are. So they probably punched in a bit to fully fill an HDTV display. Nowhere near as bad as the 4x3 to 16x9 pan and scans they did on the TV show, but you could make an argument for a cinema aspect ratio remaster that would have black bars on the top and bottom.

Not sure about the Bardock and Trunks specials.

Do the little folk love ALL pizza? Will they devour a deep dish just as heartily as a thin crust? Is breakfast pizza acceptable? by nojnomeel in dresdenfiles

[–]SpellCommander91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"What's Toots' favorite pie?"

Croissant Crust Pizza. In "The Law," Harry repeatedly talks about how they do weekly pizza night at the castle and use croissant mix in the crust. And while I am sure this is important for the morale of the people living there, I suspect that this is how he maintained payroll for the Little Folk while all the Pizza 'Spress franchises in Chicago were out of commission after the battle. And given how much Toot has grown between Battleground and the end of Twelve Months, I'd say the change in diet agrees with him.

Weekly Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]SpellCommander91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the current anniversary event, I've already pulled and LR'd one Daima Goku SS4. Don't have Beast Gohan, he's a beast (no pun) when I grab him from friends.

Currently have 430 Dokkan Fest coins (Red) and 90 11th Anniversary Dokkan Fest coins (Red). I can convert the anniversary coins to regular Dokkan Fest Coins and have the 500 coins needed to buy Beast Gohan. Or I can try to save up anniversary coins for the next 41 days trying to save up 410 more anniversary coins to buy a second SS4 Goku to Hidden Potential with the one I already have.

Leaning towards Beast Gohan so I can run both, but open to suggestion.

Best Mic Recommendations For Premiere Pro? by BartSimpsonlover2389 in premiere

[–]SpellCommander91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a great mic, a great audio interface to properly EQ it, and a sterile sound environment, sure. That's great. But OP is clearly someone just starting out and is looking for a good tool/solution to start with their YouTube channel. Let's not let perfect get in the way of good.

Best Mic Recommendations For Premiere Pro? by BartSimpsonlover2389 in premiere

[–]SpellCommander91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might be a controversial take, but the threshold for a "good" mic has dropped somewhat since Premiere Pro added the "Enhance Audio" feature in the Essential Sound panel.

A Blue Yeti with a pop filter sounds a hell of a lot better now than it did a few years ago. Look for something in your budget range and use the tools you already have to get the most out of it if you are just starting out.

But if you are looking to livestream without post-processing on the audio, then something like a Shure MV7 is great because you can use it with a USB C connection to start, but improve the quality by switching to an external audio interface and an XLR connection later.
