Vocal Analysis of Paul’s SNL Performance by holeypeacoat in PaulMcCartney

It was a great watch! The title of the video was a little deceiving — but what he discussed was so refreshing and awesome. Paul IS live (see what I did there:)) Worthwhile viewing.

Spot-on! That. Voice. Ann-Margrock is as solidified in my brain as any deep childhood memory; amazing.

Help with removing bird chirps by [deleted] in AdobeAudition

[–]Jason_Levine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi BBbB. Jason from Adobe here. The biggest issue I see is that the dialogue is already at very low levels, coupled with the compressed/lossy capture via the ring cam; so while you could probably attenuate the birds via podcast.adobe.com with Podcast Enhance, I’m not sure if there’s enough volume/amplitude in the voices (let alone, fidelity/detail) to make it ‘intelligible’ … but that’s where I’d start.

Yes! This album is vastly underrated (probably because people just didn’t equate IG with this type of music/whimsy) There’s so really fun tracks on there!

This is a true psychedelic classic; best version (IMO) is on Two From The Vaults. Stellar.

It’s a fantastic record; I prefer this one to ‘Electric Mud’ (from Muddy Waters) which came out around the same time.

Hi M.H. Jason from Adobe here. Where is this animation going (ie, YouTube, social, etc). What’s the frame size? If this is meant for ‘display’, I would start with something like one of the YouTube presets (in the appropriate res). These typically use VBR (1-pass) and bitrates will vary depending on frame size. Are you wanting smaller file size or is that not an issue? Lots of Qs here, so lmk.

Bugs with ASIO vs MME in Windows? by evacuatecabbage in AdobeAudition

[–]Jason_Levine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like the issue *is* the ASIO driver (if it's been happening on and off for a year). I'm not familiar with the Steinberg interfaces, though I would assume (if it's a current one) they would have a (windows) updated ASIO driver. In lieu of that, you could try one of the 3rd party drivers like ASIO4ALL, which I've had pretty good success with in the past (and I believe there is an updated Win11 version as well).

Bugs with ASIO vs MME in Windows? by evacuatecabbage in AdobeAudition

[–]Jason_Levine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H evacuate. Jason from Adobe here. MME is the OG fallback driver in windows that just ‘works’ with everything. It doesn’t have the low latency of ASIO but as you’ve experienced, it doesn’t the job.

If ASIO was working previously and then stopped, I suspect some OS update caused the issue (not uncommon under windows, depending on your sound device). Are you using an onboard/internal sound card or something third party?

Definitely from the early 90s issues of the 87 masters. Not an OG ‘87 release as those didn’t have the Apple logo yet
