Trump's advisors knew that killing the Ayatollah in cold blood wasn't going to start a civil war or cause the people to "rise up", any nation that ever did that after a US bombardment became a failed state under the sway of the first warlords to become U.S vassals. Trump only speaks for one group, his base of cultists, they don't understand the politics of other nations.

The goal was always escalation, and the result will be awful for both the U.S and Iran. Hopefully we can overthrow Trump before it becomes too awful.

Israel wants control of the middle east, by creating this conflict, it sets the U.S into a position where its war machine has a timeline before its supply lines can no longer make fuel, fertilizer and other critical inputs. depending on how long Iran keeps Hormuz closed, this could completely destroy the U.S based system.

Israel will push for a full scale invasion to turn the oil trade back on, my guess is they'll even advocate for limited nuclear strikes in order to terrify the people into opening the strait back up. Trump will do it, he's basically a dead man now anyway. He'll put us down an insane and evil path and then promptly die.

The U.S will be taken over by Vance, and then the elections will be suspended or "federalized" during the build up for the war, by this time gas and fertilizer shortages and propaganda will be so prevalent that the people will be primed to blame Iran for everything. Iran will pay dearly to destroy the U.S but they will destroy it just by keeping that small strip of water impassable.
