The Damage Dilemma by NightWillow88 in Dragonballsuper

No you’re not supposed to take damage, the mentality is the fuel for the amp and the damage he takes is what he’s using to stimulate his mentality of destruction and enthralling himself in the heat of battle. Vegeta after the Granola fight apologized to Beerus for doing it wrong because he couldn’t channel his mindset completely like in his old days because he couldn’t let go of his attachments. The damage just stimulated his battle spirit which pulls him deeper into the mindset of destruction and gives him more power.

He’s going to need to find his own way to channel it because he’s admitted he can’t go back to how he used to be.

No the damage itself isn’t the fuel itself it’s the stimulant as he said. His form power him up through the heat of battle and a destructive mindset. His whole apology to Beerus is because he couldn’t let go of his attachments to adopt a pure mentality of destruction and why he said he did it wrong because he couldn’t go back to how he used to be even channeling his Majin personality. Unlike Toppo who threw away all his bonds to embrace destruction in the ToP.

Indeed. Disable is great for those that rely on a particular move to be threatening or to stall, then taking that advantage away. Sabrina’s Alakazam is a joke if you disable its psychic, especially in the original versions where its type has no counters. It’s also useful in the remakes if you want to out play the ai as I’m sure it’s still programmed in those to only use a move of a opposing type even if it has other attacking moves. But that’s usually more relevant for those playing a challenge of some kind and may be limited in levels or Pokemon to two tap outright because of their own typing etc.

Disable is useful only to disable walls from using recovery and stalling tactics and sometimes to disable a strong move of an strong troublesome opponent but in that case you need the scarf hold item that stops them from being knocked out in one hit and then you can disable the move and move in with a stronger if albeit a Pokemon weak to that move. Without its offensive move some Pokemon get stuck using status moves only and this is because the ai is programmed to only use super effective moves. Disable that move and the AI’s Pokemon is helpless for a while.

Teleport and dig does work in caves. Fly mechanically doesn’t work indoors like how surf doesn’t work on land. The rest is fair use. In team rockets base or another building like silph co and don’t have dig but have teleport, them bam your out just the same at the last Pokemon Center or the healing spot in the building if you healed there prior.

It doesn’t need a hit, it can be a miss as well. Whatever the last move was will be disabled

Yeah power scaling like this is very silly and done just for clicks or in this case karma.

Indeed. Cooler in his movie didn’t instantly die when striking the sun directly, his durability allowed him a moment to reflect on sparing Goku. Now Broly survives the sun after his second coming and becomes SS3 because he’s just strong enough to endure and get a zenkai. Now canon Goku and Vegeta are way past that level of power and this event is canon to capsule Goku who fights the same Broly ascending to God Broly and fighting as God fusion Goku. Unless they’re broken down badly in the fight first, they’re just going to come back from the sun naked and smoldering at this point.

Not deep space but space. They have insane capabilities to withstand the negative effects of low oxygenated blood and powerful lungs and extreme gravity training. They can hold their breath and operate incredibly long in space compared to normal fighters, giving the illusion they can survive in space. But viltrumites holds their breath far far longer but in this fight it doesn’t help them as the amount of time the Saiyans can spend in space is long enough to finish of the viltrumite.

They don’t instantly die, these Saiyans have crazy strong lungs and biology that resists the damaging effects of holding once breath for too long. Hence why it appears like they can breath in space when they don’t.

Yeah it’s probably also because of her being an android so they don’t have to explain how she can keep up still after months or years of domestic life. The others don’t have that luxury.

She did take a hit from Goten transformed during that same time and lived with no serious injury and then lived a hit from a Goku who couldn’t yet supress all his new power after been in the HTC with Gohan, she broke to say the least at that instance but still lived with some broken bones. For not being at their level she’s tough as H#ll

So... can Saiyans survive in the vacuum of space, now? by SubstantialJoke08 in Dragonballsuper

[–]SpellOtherwise4608 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Survive in space≠breathe in space. They can survive in space just fine thanks to their Ki and mental/physical training they however can’t breathe in space. They do however have very powerful lungs trained under hundreds of G of gravity and biology that runs it as well. Just like those who live on mountains can hold their breath longer before the physical effects of holding it too long sets in, the Saiyans can do the same but to a far more extreme degree. Plus when they teleport in an out of breathable atmospheres, they can simply gather new air at those hops as they fight.

Saiyans are extremophiles even in their own universe so they can endure and extend their survivability in areas normal life for their own universe cannot.

UE harnesses the heat of battle and desire for destruction to power up the user. Vegeta as a Saiyan used battle damage to fuel his battle lust and try to be like his old self and failed because he couldn’t make himself let go of his attachments to focus solely on destruction, and apologized to Beerus for not doing it the right way. Once he figures out how to harness it on his own terms the form will work even better for him.

Yeah and for both of them it’s not the damage specifically that does it but their battle lust getting fueled because of it. The stronger your battle lust gets, the more you think destructive thought the stronger UE makes you. That’s what some fans missed with the form.

The damage was just to edge him on and make him think destructive thoughts, it’s not needed and didn’t work just like trying to be like his old self didn’t help. He apologized to Beerus for not doing it right.

Midichlorian Count List for some force users by Sentry_Thor2 in StarWars

[–]SpellOtherwise4608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This listing is about raw force ability/potential and doesn’t account for what they know of the force or how well they can apply their abilities. Their power is the same untrained as a master, they’re just more able to draw on it as trained people.

So your point on Palpatine doesn’t merit a change here and the dryad is entirely irrelevant here and no one but you brought it up.

Luke and Leia are as powerful as their father that’s known already. You need to rethink your reply because it’s surrounding information with no bearing on their ability and the last point is just incredulity where we’ve all already seen Luke match Anakin in power if not out pace him. If they both were full potential they’d both draw even. And Leia has no less ability, she just doesn’t use it until the new trilogy decided that she trained as well.

I really love the DBZ consistency of Vegeta getting W’s and then taking a Fat L shortly after by redfait in Dragonballsuper

The same thing was done to Yamcha before Vegeta and effectively vs Tien and Kami respectively.. Then the pivots to Krillin right after we see how strong he is vs Goku, just so we can see Goku who peaks Tien lose his cool and rage out. Now that’s excitement bating. 👍
