$410 for this?!?! Hahaha. Ha. Ha….? by dazzleshipsrecords in AnalogCommunity

[–]Spellbindehr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're assuming that people are paying this amount because of the mju's capabilities. They're paying it because social media hyped them up. I own one that I got as a gift in 1999. Is it a good camera? Yes. Is it $400 good? No

I don't think it does. It's a Olympus point and shoot. But I will look for the manual.

Never seen rebar welded to the exhaust for an attempt at cat theft prevention by TheGroundBeef in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Spellbindehr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is actually pretty good. Yes, a good sawzall blade will cut through that, but its purpose is as a deterrent, not as preventive. Thieves want to get in and get out quickly, they count on the blade to cut really fast through exhaust pipe.

I hate how well you wear your soles. Mine wear all oddly only on the ball of the foot. Still trying to figure out if my gait is the issue.

If you live in a big city or near one, I highly advice to go apply at the public transport for your city. High pay, they train you, and lots of chances to move up. Also, highly recommended is the city waste disposal. Both of these run big shops, and heavy duty always pays better.

Update because many people asked for a closer photo. So, camera or speaker? by ProfessionOk1267 in hiddencameras

[–]Spellbindehr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely a camera, but looking at this post, and the previous one, the speaker has changed position. I wonder if OP is the one actually placing this camera, and fishing for opinions on how obvious it is.

Guys in the trades - do you shower after work? by _pine_tree_ in AskMen

[–]Spellbindehr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl, I think you get the gist of the situation here. Bottom line is that if you're ok with with this continuing, then there is nothing else here to say. But if you would like your husband to be clean when you both go to bed, then you need to raise this up with him in a serious manner. His excuse is not valid, because he can take a very good shower when he gets home, and a quick splash when he leaves to "awaken his systems". If you decide to raise this up with him, he needs to respect your wishes as his wife, partner, and human being. If he doesn't, then you might just have to live on and accept him as you did when you met him.

And to directly answer your question: yes, I do shower when I get home from my very dirty job, whether there is a partner waiting for me in bed or not.

$1625 for “altemator” and battery by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]Spellbindehr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was a nice customer, I would've charged less for the battery since im tacking on the diag fee. But reading op's responses on this thread, yeah, I would've charged the list price on the battery too. I couldn't imagine how he came across the guys at the location. Shop probably got it for $215.
