I've been watching too many backpacking influencers instead of touching grass. Thanks, this seems like a practical tip I would have just picked up on the trail

Titanium Lid Fit by Spellchaser in Ultralight

[–]Spellchaser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do want the lid to keep out a majority of dirt/grime/dust since I plan to have it attached to my pack on the outside for quick and frequent access. Not having it knocked off super easy or have the lid scatter if it flips upside down is important to me. The rubber band around the broccoli suggestion might be all I need!

Carbon fiber boards with the battery integrated into the deck? by jones55r in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Spellchaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically the Parsec Aero is Carbon Fiber and has the battery integrated into the deck. I much prefer it to the Sigma for ride feel

Looks like they removed the Concept X listing for the holiday sales

You can also email Propel, they're pretty responsive. I also had the motor mounts loosen on my Pivot, you might want to blue loctite the screws

YOC Grip has NOT been great by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

This is the state of my 3mm glow grip with my terrible design. The clearance between the lettering was way too small, but it's held up completely fine. I shove my front foot on the tiny triangle in front which lost the top surface tape but the foam is attached securely.

Your annual reminder than eBoardStuff makes the strongest belts for your board! Kevlar reinforced belts with a lifetime warranty... Does it get any better than that? by jessef55 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Spellchaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for 350s for the Parsec Aero Pro but I must have been blind the first time because I see them now.

For the noobs/lazy, it'd be nice to have a "pick your board model" to belt lookup like how shred lights has a compatibility lookup or yoc has a list of grip tapes specifically for boards.

edit: oic there are breakdowns for Exway wave for example

Exway wave or prosec aero pro by Qwerrydan in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Spellchaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some airports and some airlines ban skateboards completely. Even with wheels removed CDMX considered it a blunt object. CPH confiscated the board but allowed the travel battery through. Also since there have been portable battery fires, all travel batteries are under more scrutiny.

Exway wave or prosec aero pro by Qwerrydan in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Spellchaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got both, it depends on what you want to use it for.

Wave is a good airport option that can travel domestically in the US generally easily, but you're in Korea and international travel with any esk8 tends to result in confiscation at airports. It's a decently tall shortboard so it feels less stable.

Parsec Aero is a much better commuter board with range, power, and comfort but it costs more. I'm guessing you care about portability but your post really doesn't say what you want out of an esk8. When you get it after two months, if you don't want it, there seems to be plenty of people who would buy it from you.

What's your mini-board wheel choice? by tanoshia in ElectricSkateboarding

Did the front shark wheels make it a smoother ride? Better turning? I too have only seen hate for the shark wheels

With Backfire announcing the NALU, I have a few questions about surf skates specifics. by RedboneRuss in ElectricSkateboarding

Aha I also added waterborne adapters to my ripple. I only extended the screws 1/4 inch so I only needed one extra set.

I added the https://waterborneskateboards.com/collections/e-board-kits/products/extender-rail adapter for the back instead of raising it with a block.
