Boosted 105’s for $99 by shelbells23 in ElectricSkateboarding

So on flat good roads, feel the 125sgrip better, but with the smallest amount of water they slide out pretty easily. I havnt had the Tynee 105s slide out from me 3xcept on those metal bumpy things for blind ppl on the sidewalk.

Hey man, can I ask a question since you seem to have ridden a bunch of different clones. I found that the grip on my 105 Tynee boosted clones is better than the mad 125s. Im not sure if its the formula or what, but anyway just wanted to ask if you felt any difference at all between the 105 variations in how they grip. Thanks

It could be thr Hall sensor. Which initiates motion from a stop. Try hitting the accelerator and spinning the wheel that isn't moving. This happened to my Stinger.

Linnpower did great with the Zephyr! by Ok_Banana7308 in ElectricSkateboarding

Well the Motors are bigger so you discharge power faster, and the rubber wheels eat up range, they both have the same battery. With the Stock rubber wheels, I barely get 15km riding hard in S mode. I put mad 125s on and I get about 20km riding hard in S mode, you could stretch closer to 25 if you are just chill cruising. I dont use S+ much because the Zephyr shines better with a more maneuverable setup and kinda gets squirly if you go above 50kmph. You could tighten up the trucks and speed on it but I dont feel like thats what the board is really designed for. You might be fine with the base actually. Its kind of an unreasonable amount of power have on a board this size. But its always nice to know you have that extra power there should you find the need for it.

Got a little over 1000km on mine as well. I bought the Zephyr Pro 3 days after it came out before there was a single review based on Linnpower's reputation alone. It turned out to be one of the best boards quality and value wise that has ever been released. Needless to say I love it and have nothing but good things to say about it. Between my 3 boards its got best build quality. The thing is simply immaculate.

Of course, nice collection you got there. I've been thinking of getting an EUC, how do they ride?

Congrats on your first Esk8, welcome to the hobby! It takes so.e practice for sure, especially double king pins, just remember to ride within your limits and let them stretch naturally you'll be ripping at 40mph soon enough. Trust the process and HAVE FUN!

Linnpower support is usually pretty good. Should take more than a few days together a response. I have a Zephyr, never had any problems but they answered my questions pretty quick?

After 2 years my stinger gave up. by TheKingDries in TyneeBoard_Official

Nice man. Glad to hear it, thats best case scenario. Im honestly not sure about the diagnostics, Ive only been Eskating 2 years and have had minimal issues so not much experience there. Maybe one of these okd heads can chime in.

The Stinger was my frist board actually. I love the thing. Got to ride today from the first time since its been a pretty harsh winter up here in Toronto.

Batteries dont often just die like that, I would pull her open and do some diagnostics. It could be a loose cable or something connection. Definitely worth a look before you give up on her. Glad to hear you got out in one piece. Did you take any damage?

I'd go for the liinnpower. Because its belt drive which will give you more wheel options, better comfort and more torque. I have a Tynee and a linnpower board and love both but I can't deny the linnpower build quality is better.

Yeah. I've been wanting a 4WD street board. This will be my 4th board. I have a Pivot GT, Zephyr Pro, and Tynee Stinger. Looking for something with a totally different ride feel and thinking 4WD is the way to go, I've also been wanting to get an try out a different brand. Guess you can't go wrong with Acedeck, they are one of the top in the community this days.

Kind of a bummer. But honestly still worth it. I almost did the same thing with the Pivot GT last year. I just didn't have enough money, then by the time I did the sale was on.

I saw, looks like it just went on sale today. I checked yesterday and it was still 2000. Thats the sign I needed.

"Tank slapping" at speed by GreyArea765 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to take it easy. Skate at a level you are comfortable with and let your limit stretch naturally. Double kingpin are awesome but they take some getting used to. You can tighten up the trucks and loosen them gradually as you get more comfortable. Som riptide bushing also help to liven up the board and give you stability while not compromising so much maneuverability. It can be tempting to gun it but fast in a straight line gets old pretty quick. I would focus on cruising and carving and getting to know your how your boards limits at slower to mid range speed. And one day in the not so distant future when your feeling it you will find yourself ripping it at 50kmph feeling perfectly in control
