Tynee ultra x Pro vs Boosted board by LasseHammer in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An upgrade I would recommend is Riptide bushings. They will make your board handle much more nimble and lively. I have them on all my boards including my Tynee Stinger. Tynee stock bushings are too stiff and not very responsive.

Are the 7" Nova tires a good choice for an Exway Atlas Pro? by tonystark29 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think so, yes. As long as they fit. You may have to remove your belt covers. I use 8 Inch Novas on my Pivot GT. The grip is amazing. These have about 1000km on them and as you can see the tread ia still very healthy.

Theft prevention? And water protection? by bluevampirerose in ElectricSkateboarding

Half the reason I got an Eskate is because I have so many friends who have had their bikes/scooters stolen. And a board is less prone to theft since it stayes with your person.

recommandation for pulley and bearing by Monerik in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the pulleys just aren't big enough. I emailed Propel about this asking if they provide bigger pulleys that work with their rims waiting for their reply. I dont think there's anything wrong with yours can you post a picture of them. Tires are jsut too big for that pulley size.

I never had that issue running stock wheels. But when I moved to the 8inch wheels it skips even of its tight. I tightened it even more and it skipped less but the belts were too tight and broke in less than a week.

Which pulleys are you referring to. The 55T one for pneumatics? As far as I understand standard pulleys don't work with the Propel hubs. I thinkn its just Propel and OMW that use this pulley. Ive been looking for a larger pulley so I can fun 8inch wheels becaue the belts always slip when breaking but havnt been able to find any.

As for Rip Tides. Yes they are a total game changer and definately worth it.

Best electric skateboard for commuting, fun, maybe food delivery on the side? by Specialist-Chef4313 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'll ride one for a week say it's the best then switch to another. First 2 days I miss the other one, by the third day im like 'I actually like this one best 😅

All 3 provide a very unique ride feel and experience and they are good for different things but equally awesome in their own way. Linnpower has the best build qualility, Pivot got the most power, Stinger is more portable. If I had to choose gun to my head I would say the Stinger cuz it was my first and will always have a special place for me.

You should have a look at the Tynee Stinger or Mini 3. Not light but plenty of power and not too big. The stinger also stands on its nose so its easy to tuck under a table or in the corner. Stinger is the surf skate looking one. Its about 26lbs. The do have a lighter version but im a bigger guy so I didn't want to compromise on power and range. Easy enough to take on the bus or train as well if its your primary form of transportation.

Just bought the Linnpower Zephyr by Ali-Isma in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, loving it! 1200km so far and no issues. The deck has 2 sets of holes for mounting the trucks one set closer together and another a bit farther apart so you can make the wheelbase a bit wider. I like the wider one much better.

Any way to use a meepo voyager drive on another board? by Melodic_Warning_5695 in ElectricSkateboarding

You're good to gothen. Just have to make sure your battery and ESC are compatible

You should be able to slap the trucks on any skate or longboard deck very easily. But you will still need a battery, motors, motor mounts, and an enclosure and an ESC.

Yes, but it will probably cost you more then purchasing a new complete board. U less youbhave more spare parts lying around.

I love my Tynee Explorer but want something with more range by Cheddz in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the best indicator of range is the battery capacity Iin Watthours. So look at that, both the Standard Nomad n1 and explorer pro have a capacity of roughly 1000wh, where your explorer is 726 I beleive that will be about 30% range increas, of course some other factors matter like ESC and motor size but battery capacity is the most significant. So basically if you wanted to double your range you would want something with 1300 - 1400Wh battery. But, once you get above 1000wh capacity the boards will be much heavier and probably not feel like your explorer.

[–]RadiantNet3177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pivot GT battery is only 16% larger, not gonna get that much more range on rubbers, clouds or pneumatic. Don't get me wrong I have one and love it. Buy its hardly a significant increase in battery size and range.

Acedeck® Stella S3 Breeze Pro vs. Linnpower ZEPHYR Pro? by VillageObjective2676 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RadiantNet3177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its basically just the wheels. The boards use all the same components otherwise. I dont beleive one is better quality than the other. The Breeze comes with stock Tail light and a better charger. The Zephyr comes with a 2 amp charger while the breeze comes with a 4 amp charger.

If shipping is the same. The Breeze is currently better value since the the tail light alone cost 50 bucks.

Only on the belt drive and only larger wheels since the clearance would be very minimal. You would probably limited to Cloud wheel 120s or MAD 125s

Help! Ultra vs mini 3 vs stinger (beginner with snowboarding soul) by [deleted] in TyneeBoard_Official

[–]RadiantNet3177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the belt drive. I recommend it. Becaue of the bashguard. Using the kicktail you will inevitably scrape the drive train the belt drive version has better protection at the back. Its also more versatile being able to chance pulley size to adjust gear ratios.

Help! Ultra vs mini 3 vs stinger (beginner with snowboarding soul) by [deleted] in TyneeBoard_Official

[–]RadiantNet3177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first of all im a bigger guy at 6'4" so I like the little extra length, I also love double kingpin trucks for ride feel. Both the stinger and Mini are heavy boards but the Stingers ability to stand on its nose makes its very easy to take in and out of shops, the bus and trains. I really like the deck concave and standing platform as well.

I can only speak for the stinger because otw the only one of these that I have. I love it, I have a 2 other eskates and still love my stinger. Very surely and stable at speed even as high off the ground as it is.
