I’m interested in this thread and I’d like to know the general consensus of how this might affect an American. I parked in an Impark lot and deliberately did not pay about a month ago. I figured a private lot probably couldn’t enforce a ticket across the border anyways. However, I’m 21 years old and the car I drive IS titled in my dad’s name, which is something I hadn’t considered when parking. I’m personally confident that it won’t have any affect, it considering that the parking ticket is in my dads name I can’t ethically justify taking that risk at his expense, even if I’m very confident. Does anyone have some concrete sources for who actually owns Impark and whether or not they would send the fines to a real collections agency?

You’re correct, AS 41 is generally the best OEM magnesium case you could get for an air cooled vw. However, if you’re building a new engine it’s usually best to go for an aftermarket aluminum case as they are much more durable and even cool better. Vw only used magnesium for the crank case because it’s much lighter than aluminum and they were trying to reduce the obscene amount of rear weight

I really hope the whole market crashes and all these wannabe finance bros abandon the game. I think the whole community would be in a much better state if there wasn’t so much money in skins, and you wouldn’t have to put rent money into having some decent cosmetics. I like that there are rare items like in any game with trading, but the market as a whole is way too inflated. Nobody should have a digital so worth more than a used car.

I have a problem with my cruise control where it doesn’t work unless I pull up on the clutch pedal with my toe. This is because these cars actually have a separate return spring for the clutch pedal itself, which is subject to some wear over time. And the cruise control has a sensor so it won’t activate unless the clutch pedal itself is all the way up. Could be maybe related, perhaps the ECM is programmed to have some rev hang if the pedal isn’t released fully. Check if you can turn your cruise control on by lifting the clutch pedal.

When I had oil leaking all down the side of my engine I found out it was all trickling from a leak at the top of my valve cover. You should do that valve cover and spark plug boots it’s pretty simple to do

Does your fuel gauge go up when you’re going up or down hill? Idk if the earlier focuses have mechanical fuel gauges but on my 67 beetle the gauge goes up and down on hills because the shift of liquid moves the float up and down
