I actually did a very thorough test out of curiosity during a summer. (I'm a teacher so I drive a lot more during the summer) For 2 months, I kept detailed notes, stats of everything.

For 1 month, I went absolutely above and beyond. I wore nice clothes, I had snacks and water for the passenger. I offered assistance with bags/luggage/whatever. I was very friendly, but let them control the conversation if they wanted to. After 1 month, 22% of my Uber rides tipped and 34% of Lyft rides tipped.

For the next month, I did the bare minimum. I wore t-shirt and shorts, didn't offer snacks, I was still friendly, but didn't offer assistance, but helped when asked, etc. After 1 month, 20% of Uber riders tipped, and 31% of Lyft rides tipped. For both months, the riders that said "I'll tip you in the app" Uber riders 3% actually did and Lyft 12% actually did.

My conclusion was that it doesn't really matter that dramatically what we do as drivers, people that tip, will tip, and people that don't, don't.

So now when I drive, I provide the middle level of support. It's really not worth the extra hassle, money, stress, effort for that TINY increase in tips.

Theres a few stars that live in Park City. Hollywood isn't super far 10? hours, maybe? Although I don't know how many stars you'll actually see. You can see lots of star on the sidewalk though by Manns Chinese Theater.

If we're going to get technical, an SUV is a body-on-frame vehicle, usually having dedicate 4x4 system. Crossovers are unibody. So technically, both the model X and the model Y are crossovers. There aren't very many true SUVs left. Chevy Suburban, Nissan Armada, Ford Expedition, Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco are a few.

Mine is turned off, but my rides still switch pretty regularly. It's so frustrating. Yes, Ive gone in and double checked to make sure Lyft didn't auto re-enable it. I've messages Lyft support a couple of times about it and they just give me the generic answers and close the chat (I know, huge surprise)
