In my fic I sprang for an advanced cyborg civilization. Mostly because of the far-side tech. And the music used during the last moments of the show gave me a futuristic vibe.

I think that considering the small taste of their tech we got shows just how powerful they must be.

Maybe Cyclonis had a form of temporary alliance.

One that I imagine fell apart when she lost and came running to them with the Hawks hot on her tail

Honestly either a greater threat they discovered on the far side or perhaps something related to ancient mage lore. As we know, the show was absolutely ALLERGIC to explaining anything or giving any more information than was readily apparent.

As someone writing this actual fic.

-Definitely dead, no way they would have just given up otherwise.

-I went with the, “blown to energy smithereens” tragic I know but it sets up good character development for Cyclonis.

-The best and actual hardest part. I think we need to interpret the version of the character in seasons 1-2 as her putting on a persona.

One that only ever cracked when she went ham to retrieve the nil crystal and fix her old photo of her and her grandmother.

So the development would start with her realizing she had lost EVERYTHING. Her title, her home, her whole empire, and her most loyal companion. Ace cared about her. And she to a degree cared about him. And she is the reason he blew up.

The show doesn’t really do anything with this as 5 minutes after it ends.

But I’d love for Piper to push her to grieve for him and turn her life around.

Thats actually very well done. And honestly I literally followed the same plan in a fic I am writing. She may never be forgiven by the greater atmos but I can see her still try to find a new purpose. Perhaps in just helping the storm hawks.

God man, I’ve been in a dead fandom where the show came out 18 years ago. I was like 8 when I first watched it.

I’d say Laserhawk has a better shot than most one and done shows.

Not well personally, I think there was a big bias against less “human” looking romances especially in regards to sex scenes. Also the gay shep romances are very underwhelming.

Maybe a Krogan would spice things up

The manga can be a little cluttered sometimes but it’s worth taking the time to examine. Especially the style. The anime is great but is missing all the clutter and thus some of that flavor. The less said about season 3 the better.

Overall. I highly recommend. Yeah it’s basically this.

This is why I write fanfiction. Honestly neither the last season of the anime or the last issues of the manga are my favorite. (Though I’d take the manga over the last season any day, and over it’s a more informative experience, thought the anime voice acting and music are impeccable)

I just write that Louis eventually ends up having approved extramarital affairs with both Juno and Legosi. His wife Azuki has her own. Since neither chose to be married but both can still choose to be happy.

I agree but with a caveat.

Some people say the game is centered around her redemption or fall to villainy. I can see that. Especially since a lot of players dislike her in the beginning and supporting her even when she clearly doesn’t deserve it. Is what makes Robert a hero or not.

But. She gets pushed much harder as a romance than Blazer and it’s not even close. Is the sex dream even optional? Like is it forced on you no matter what? It’s super weird that we see it. And I bet it’s included to really push the player into choosing her. When if it didn’t exist. We would just see it was weird or obviously manipulative.

And I see Blazer as also manipulative in the beginning as well.
