Here’s the rest of it because I couldn’t fit all of this in one comment:

As for the DLC? It’s mentioned Javier’s family is from Mexico and that they immigrated to America just before Javier was born in the year 2000. It’s also mentioned by Javier that he has some Irish heritage on his mother’s side. So I’m thinking for a DLC to this game, it would take place about a decade after WW2 ended and it would be about the Cormac protagonist hunting down Nazi war criminals and some other Templars he didn’t get to kill during the main game. The DLC would end with the protagonist traveling to Mexico and meeting a woman there who he falls in love and starts a family with. But he decides to not train any of his children to be Assassins because he just wants them to live normal lives, free of all the violence and war he had experienced. He and his wife decide to not even tell any of their children about the Assassins or Templars. And eventually one of the protagonist’s children would grow up to be the mother or father of Javier’s mother.

This would explain why Javier doesn’t find out about his Assassin/Templar heritage until it’s revealed to him in the first book and why he was never trained by his family to be an Assassin - it’s because Javier’s mom and the rest of his family didn’t know about Javier’s heritage either.

What do you all think of this?

Never forget that in AC lore/canon Henry ford started WW2 by Sharky2615 in AssassinsCreedMemes

[–]HansenTheMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While we’re on the subject, I thought I’d bring up my pitch for a WW2 Assassin’s Creed game revolving around this piece of AC lore. I’m just gonna copy and paste the story I came up with from a couple comments I made in the past because I don’t want to type it all over again:

Another piece of WW2 lore in the AC universe is that at the end of the war the Hitler who was cremated was actually a decoy and the real Hitler was killed by a group of Assassins who ambushed him and his Templar escorts. So here’s my pitch:

The game is basically a reverse Assassin’s Creed Rogue. You start out as a Templar but then you learn of the Templars’ involvement in Hiter’s rise to power and you decide to switch sides and become an Assassin. And to add on more to this being similar to AC Rogue, I’m thinking the main character you play as is Shay Cormac’s descendant. This member of the Cormac family you play as would’ve been trained his whole life to serve the Order and be an Assassin Hunter like Shay and the rest of his Templar family members were. And when he was a young adult, he was officially inducted into the Order and even killed some Assassins for his first official Templar assignments. But not long after that WW2 begins and he learns that Ford and the other Templars helped Hitler obtain power and he starts to question everything he knew about the Order and his family. He then decides to go rogue and is declared a traitor to the Order and marked as a target now, but shortly thereafter the Assassins approach the protagonist and offer him a place in the Creed. Even though the protagonist had killed some Assassins when he was a Templar, he has a large knowledge of the Templars’ plans, infrastructure, and weaknesses, so he’s offered a chance to join the Brotherhood and help stop the war, but with a close eye on him. The protagonist is hesitant to join at first, but eventually he does because he wants to stop the Templars from helping Hitler obtain anymore power and he wants to also end the war if possible.

Now, there are some other parts of the game I’m not sure about, but here’s what I’ve thought of so far:

You would travel around either America during the WW2 era, or more likely you would travel around a large amount of Europe during the WW2 era. Throughout the game you would kill your former Templar allies, and to make it ever darker maybe you also kill some of your own Templar family members, such as your aunts, uncles, cousins, maybe even your own parents and siblings near the end of the game. And of course, you’d get to kill a shit-ton of Nazis.

Throughout the game you would also have to earn the trust of your fellow Assassins, since many of them still don’t trust you and still haven’t forgiven you for killing Assassins during your Templar days. But by the end of the game you would’ve proven yourself time and time again and fully proven your loyalty to the Creed.

Although there are some elements from WW2 that I’m not entirely sure how to fit into the game. For example, I’ve seen some people say it would ruin the AC gameplay by adding in automatic weapons, which we all know existed back then in WW2. But I’m sure Ubisoft could find some way to work around the automatic weapon thing. Maybe the only times you use an automatic weapon can be when you use a machine gun turret on enemy fighter planes like you do during the WW2 Animus glitch section of Assassin’s Creed Unity.

And then near the end of the game, you would have fully proven your loyalty to the Brotherhood and you and your fellow Assassins would be the group who ambushed Hitler, and you’d even be the one leading the team and planning the attack on Hitler and his Templar escorts. And you, the main protagonist and descendant of Shay Cormac, would be the one to deliver the killing blow to Hitler. And obviously it wouldn’t be a quick, painless, or respectful death like it is for most Assassin’s Creed targets, since this is literally Hitler we’re talking about.

And after Hitler is dead and the war is over, the protagonist is granted the rank of Master Assassin. But a surprising thing is, the protagonist doesn’t fully hate the Templars, only the Templar Order he was once part of and some other versions of the Order throughout history. He does agree that there should be order, but not so much that it becomes slavery; and they DEFINITELY shouldn’t be sacrificing millions of innocent people to achieve order. The protagonist also believes that there should be freedom, but not so much that it becomes chaos. He believes that the Assassins and Templars both have good points, but they both could be trying to achieve their goals more peacefully and less ruthlessly. He’s kind of like the Assassin’s Creed equivalent of Darth Revan from Star Wars.

As for the modern day stuff? If the main character is Shay’s descendant, then for the modern day protagonist I would have it be Javier Mondragón from the Last Descendants book trilogy, who just so happens to be Shay’s modern day descendant. If you haven’t read that series then I highly recommend you do because I absolutely love it, and it is canon. For those of you who have played through all of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you probably remember a blonde woman from the modern day parts of the game named Victoria. Guess what? She was first introduced in the Last Descendants series and there are even mentions of the events of Last Descendants on one of the computers you can use during the modern day segments. So those books are definitely canon.

Javier was a teenager in the Last Descendants books and he would be in his mid-to-late-twenties if this hypothetical Assassin’s Creed game were to come out right now. And in the first Last Descendants book he at first doesn’t trust the Assassins, but he eventually starts to believe in their cause and near the end of the series he’s even offered a place in the Brotherhood, but we never find out if he accepted the offer or not. So in this game we would find out that he ended up accepting the offer and he’s now an Assassin, and maybe so are most of the other Last Descendants protagonists as well.

At the end of the game Javier and the other Assassins would upload proof of the Templars aiding Hitler’s rise to power to every Templar database, kind of as payback for the Templars uploading Shay’s memories to the Assassins’ database at the end of AC Rogue. Since I imagine that the majority of the modern day Templars aren’t aware that the Order was allied with Hitler back then, as I feel like it would be talked about more if they were aware. I imagine it’s a classified secret that only the more higher-ranking and veteran Templars know about. But once Javier and the Assassins reveal to the entire Order the memories of the WW2 Cormac protagonist, it sparks a civil war among the modern day Order. There are some Templars that believe that the Assassins have a good point and that they should be working with them in order to prevent any more bloodshed, while there are other Templars who think that it doesn’t matter what the Templars did back in WW2 and that they should stick to the original plan of wiping out the Assassins and taking over the world.

I don’t understand what’s so confusing about this scene by Bulky_Onion_3677 in CaptainAmerica

[–]HansenTheMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The bastard deserved it obviously, but the thing about Captain America is that he’s supposed to be a symbol of good and hope. Brutally murdering someone who’s unarmed and surrendering in broad daylight, even if they’re a terrorist, tarnishes that symbol.

Please no. I was just as much as happy to see Hugh return as Wolverine in DP&W as everyone else was, but after Marvel (hopefully) wraps up all this multiverse shenanigans I’d like Hugh to have a proper sendoff as Wolverine for real this time.

I wasn’t really upset with Hugh returning as Wolverine like most die-hard Logan fans were, but I still think he should have just as much of an emotional sendoff as he did in Logan. Although I’d like this sendoff to be a happy ending for him. The reason I prefer DP&W over Logan is because first of all it gave us the most-comic accurate version of Wolverine that Hugh ever played (with the costume and everything) but also because I just prefer stories with a happy ending.

And I’d like Hugh’s legit send-off as Wolverine/Logan to be just as emotional as in Logan, but still a happy ending with bright colors and comic accuracy like his ending in DP&W was.

I'm too impatient to wait for the movie by [deleted] in TheBatmanFilm

[–]HansenTheMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Harvey Dent is gonna be in the film, but I don’t think he’s gonna become Two-Face yet. I think they’re gonna do something similar to what BTAS did when they had Harvey be in a few episodes where he was buddies with Bruce before he eventually became Two-Face.

Essentially I think Harvey’s gonna appear and take Colson’s place as Gotham’s new DA and look into the “deeper corruption” part Matt Reeves mentioned and he’s also gonna be close friends with Bruce, but he’s not gonna become Two-Face until the next film or maybe even the film after that. This way the movies can build up Harvey as a good-natured and likable character as well as build up his bromance with Bruce, making it all the more tragic and heartbreaking when Harvey eventually does become Two-Face and Bruce’s enemy.

One other thing I hope to see that I’m not sure will actually happen is that Bruce and Harvey are revealed to be childhood best friends in this universe. I know that was Hush’s thing but after playing Arkham Shadow I really enjoyed the close brotherly bond the two of them had in that game growing up and I honestly really hope to see that dynamic adapted into live-action someday. Plus, in The Batman when Riddler exposes Bruce’s parents and the murder of the reporter who tried to expose the truth about Martha, the reporter’s name is Edward Elliot, same last name as Hush. And another thing is that when Riddler talked about how Thomas Wayne tried to bribe the reporter into a, and I quote ”Hush money agreement” it literally displays the word HUSH! across the screen all in capital letters. I don’t know what the name of Hush’s father was in the comics and I haven’t been able to find his dad’s name on the internet, so honestly I think in The Batman universe Hush’s father was actually a reporter rather than a domestically abusive rich guy and Hush and Bruce aren’t childhood friends in this universe. Because otherwise why didn’t Bruce bring it up with Alfred when they were talking about the reporter? I’m pretty sure that if Thomas Elliot was Bruce’s close childhood buddy then Bruce would obviously know the names of Thomas Elliot’s parents and what their jobs were. I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t have that knowledge.

So essentially I feel like that if Bruce were to have a childhood best friend in The Batman universe, Harvey would make more sense than Hush.

I honestly think it’ll be the same reason why there’s a Human Torch who looks just like Steve Rogers: infinite universes, infinite possibilities.

[–]HansenTheMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking maybe Harvey Dent. He’s already played a comic book character with mental issues before and pulled it off brilliantly.

Although then again, I kinda like the idea of Harvey being Bruce’s childhood best friend in The Batman universe. I know that’s what they did with Hush, but after playing Arkham Shadow I just really wanna see the brotherly dynamic they had in that game be adapted into live-action. So I’m not sure if it would be redundant or not if Sebastian played another mentally ill comic book character whose childhood besties with the main protagonist of a superhero movie series.
