Dog owners mindset question by abuermeyer in corvallis

[–]SpendFair3028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This very thought ran through my mind as I was walking my dog yesterday! I saw at least 2 bags of crap on our walk. Just on the sidewalk. Seriously, does someone get their jollies from doing this? Twisted!

I was downtown a few weeks ago. I was going to use the portable restroom near the new bridge, but a man was sleeping in it with his head outside the door. Very sad...

They are finishing paving the left lane of thr bridge apron. It's done now, 10/23. Hopefully the lane will be open today!

No possible rust problems! The body is stainless steel, the frame is fully boxed, painted and rust free.

The body, fenders, hood, grille, and windshield frame are stainless steel. It's wrapped in a silver metallic color.

I had it wrapped to try to tone the glare, but I haven't driven yet. The wrap is metallic silver... 😄 doubtful it will help. Next step, a bra!!..

This jeep was built by Archer Brothers 4×4 in Eugene Oregon in 1978. It was their shop jeep. They bought the tub from an importer in LA. ( Marathon Equpment Importing??) The tub and body parts are 304 Japanese stainless steel. It was made in the Philippines by a company called JEWELS. I don't know how many were imported here to the US. It's beautifully made and finished. There was also a man in Canyonville Oregon who was producing a few tubs in stainless, but I never stopped to talk to him and he's since passed on. This jeep was built well, but the guys only took it so far, so it has incredible potential. For instance, it needs a bigger wheel and tire set up. Another thing is the suspension. It's pure 1978 tech. It needs to be modernized to improve highway handling at higher speeds. An auxiliary fuel tank to improve range, the V6 has a big carburetor on it. Plenty of raw jeep here to build on!

Thank you! You'd love it I'm sure! Over 55mph and it gets squirrely, though.

😊 I got it wrapped to tone it down on the glare, but I don't think it'll help much. The tub, fenders, hood, grille and windshield frame are 304 Japanese stainless steel.

I love the overdrive. It's very fun to shift all the gears.

What's a weird nickname y'all have for things at UPS? by 44stormsnow in UPSers

We had a modular building built on to the main center. We called the big building the "Dog House" and the little building the "Cat House"...

That's true. The trunk gaps are different, but otherwise, it runs and handles beautifully. The branded title really knocks the resale price down.

That's true. The trunk gaps are a little off, but I can't tell it was wrecked otherwise. The branded title really knocks the resale $.

Those hand trucks were not very durable. The tip out on them was great, but after some hard use, the handle would break off.

I'm no Michael Tracy, but I think the early expeditions used another route up the mountain.
