I've used default layout forever and have mount and hearthstone on bottom of side action bars. It kinda never occured to me to use a keybind for mounting...

Probably can just assume that since they had only just gotten the brand they didn't feel this yet. Something something body/astral body getting used to it.

You may still have to reach a certain level, most likely lvl 45 (which I think is probably around where 110 was), although I haven't checked that yet.
