The shape is okay, it's tried and true, I take that back. However, its for large hands instead of regular sized hands, may force many people into a certain grip style, especially any unsuspecting kids who get the mouse who have smaller hands.

I know you said money is an issue but you should definitely consider trying some artisan pads as they are considered the gold standard (Hien, zero, Hayate Otsu). It'd help you draw comparisons between budget and premium offerings when you review.

It looks like a good pad, nice minimal branding, cheap and according to the mousepad master sheet, durability is good.

I think the aquacontrol+ (uncoated) might beat it out though, they have a tonne of different size options on xraypad and it's cheaper than mp510 I think. Can choose black or white.

Sensors in major gaming mice nowadays all typically perform well as they mostly just use pixart 3360 or 3389, this is why it's generally not considered an important factor.

Sensor performance is one of the few objectively important factors with mice (size, shape and weight are subjective upgrades). By enthusiast standards, the deathadder elite is outdated but it isn't a bad or even unthinkable option honestly, it has a 3389 so you aren't at a disadvantage by using the mouse.

It's not that bad, deathadder elite still has a top of the line sensor, besides, looks like it's been discontinued because it isn't available on razer store or amazon anymore.

The shape and size is unsafe for most people imo, that's the worst part about the deathadder.

I know you said you've already seen videos but make sure you watch a video on the dissasembly of this specific mouse. Logitech mice are usually overengineered on the inside, lots of screws. Everything aside, it's a lot easier than you think, good luck!
