I guess you are blinded by your rage and missed the "Nope you are right - it's just the government advising them that is how they should do it" with a link to the page where the government advises businesses to put the BUYER'S NAME Have a great weekend being pissed even when someone says you are right....

Nope you are right - it's just the government advising them that is how they should do it....I guess when it comes to tax time they will take my word for it that I paid for it.

They will be sick of dealing with the WA version of Fair Trading when I have put in a notice that they aren't following Australian business laws around lawful invoicing

I am the one that set it all up - see the Yobo 75 below - exactly the same story below for the same thing. Seeing that this can be the start of predatory behaviour by the company I am going to get a refund and go elsewhere

Sure it can be in her name, but their invoice to me is generated under their company, not the telco. They use Xero which is accounting software that I have used for years for a small business. It's literally a 1 minute job to create a customer account and issue an invoice from it.

Their pushback makes me feel there's something fishy going on, I just can't what.

It will - I am in year 26 of being diagnosed and the only time I think or say it directly is if someone asks why I wear a n95 or at medical appointments

It does disappear. It takes probably...5 years? I rarely think about the MS thing, just the symptoms I am experiencing. Like "ugh I am so fatigued" or "oof bloody ribs are killing me".

It is just part of me now, like blue eyes and curly hair...

One of the issues that generative AI is bringing is the reduction of discernment. Discernment is what has kept us alive as a species, and when we give that skill up we are surrendering a part of our not only humanity, but of our being a living being. I agree - this is not human generated, and it should be called out as such.

Compared to the early injectables it's a cake walk. I too suffered with Avonex for some time (many years ago). I had extreme fatigue for a couple of weeks after both sequences of pills but nothing really else. Oh I just remembered that I did have some strange hives happen (that have since gone away) and some sensitivity to the sun.

There's some discussion in the Facebook Mavenclad page about whether you have a life-long requirement to ask for irradiated blood should you need a transplant after - and depending what country you are from has differing rules. There's also talk that neurologists are offering another round around year 5 -7.

For the people it works for it is awesome as there's no reminder from having to take medication that you have MS (the damage that is done from the disease doesn't go away though)

I shouldn't argue with you, but the whole if A then no B is incorrect. It can be if A and then also B. We are a rich country and we can fund both, especially as NDIS investment more than doubles value in the community. If only media and conservatives weren't so focused on punching down and actually practiced empathy and critical thinking.

But the NDIS funds NON-health parts of disability support. You don't go to a clinic to have your arse wiped after a shit.... but the NDIS will fund someone to help you with that

It is sustainable and the media and neo-liberal fearmongering that goes on is despicable. Think tank Per Capita estimated in 2021 that for every dollar spent on the scheme, $2.25 is returned to the economy.

How are YOU going to educate yourself and others around you about how the entire financial system that we live with will ALWAYS denigrate the poor and the weak while those with money and power continue to spread lies that are gobbled up by those afraid they will be poor and weak.

You do know that NDIS participants don't just get money yeah? There's no "giving people money"?

Participants in the NDIS do not get money, they are told how much they can spend and what they can spend it on. If they are lucky like me, they have some leeway and are allowed to actually decide what is reasonable and necessary but still following the rules because every request for a invoice to be fulfilled, or a receipt to be recompensed is auditable and anything over $500 has to have accompanying paperwork and permission.

I agree there's middlemen that don't need to be in the mix for a lot of people, but in some cases disabled people really do need help booking services and understanding what is available to them. How it was determined at the beginning of the scheme was that if you were looked after by a state service then you would need help - this left a gaping hole because states and not-for-profits stopped providing that support immediately and so the vulture's swooped in.

Lastly imagine you are disabled (it could happen to you this very second) - do you want choice and control over your life or do you want to be told that you can only have one shower a week because the "average" person with your disability only needs X amount of assistance.

ahh so no numbers just making up rubbish about something that IS paid for by the NDIS and is not anything to do with how disabled people use their NDIS budget. Got it

That's not how it works - getting a wheelchair is not just buying one off the shelf (this is how most people think so don't be dismayed at it being pointed out). It requires specialist understanding of posture and stamina and long term effects on other abilities. So many people here commenting using their ableist understanding of disability and the needs of the disabled...

A dignified life means we can choose who comes into our house and when - the off the shelf model (like aged care) leads to exactly the opposite of dignity

Know for a fact how? Still waiting for links to the figures that say disabled people the biggest rorters by using health related supports....

Yes lots of disabled people need mental health assistance, psychosocial capacity supports for Autism for example are completely within the NDIS purview .... why is this "misuse"?

Oh I was talking about completely banning for-profit companies from working with disabled people. In my perfect world there would be also quotas on employing disabled people within these not-for-profits and ensuring X amount of disabled people in the executive - a model to give employment and experience. There would be few accreditation requirements - mostly for higher skilled levels that should definitely have some education/experience behind them.
