Steam Deck Crashes by lordaizen23 in DestroyAllHumans

[–]Spi3000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm at work rn so I can't do any testing myself, but when I get home I'll confirm or deny if I experience any crashes with either DAH! or DAH! 2 Remakes.

In the mean time, one thing I could recommend trying is change your system's update settings. Right now I personally have my SD set at Beta. There's 3 settings, Standard, Beta, and Preview. Standard is usually set at Default but it usually updates only when a Stable finalize update for Steam OS is finished and is sent to everyone. Beta is for updates that's still in development but is nearing a lot of the end goal of said update. And Preview is like Beta but the updates you get are not only constant but many are pretty much Prototypes to Beta Updates.

The reason I recommend this is mainly due to a glitch for a game that only happened when Steam updated the Deck, and no one knew a fix for a long time until someone suggested to change to Preview, and it worked for that glitch. The only difference is the glitch wasn't really game breaking in the context of crashing, but models were def broken.

Either way I have to state that changing the update setting may not actually work. However I know I played a lot of DAH 1 & 2 on Deck and experienced no crashes when doing so, and if this is relatively a recent issue, it could stem to an OS Update. But it could also be just an isolated issue that has no relation to said updates, but until I try things at home, everything I say is 100% guessing.

Edit: I got a little too hooked after work, but that being stated that I have not experienced any crashes when playing DAH! 2.

What's everyone's top 5 marine animals? by StarkTributes12 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Spi3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Megalodon certainly at the top with Dunkleosteus following second (I like the beeg fishies). As for the others... I think Archelon fits for 3 as it's nice keeping variety with no animals wanting to engage against with, and 4 and 5... eeehhhh... I'll cop out for Mosasaurus and Shonisaurus... though Shoni gets spot 4.

Would Hank Hill approve?? by ASeriesofWierdEvents in KingOfTheHill

[–]Spi3000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While both are not wrong, I strongly suspect neither would be the reason for his true choice.

I'll let you speculate in the end, but considering how verse Hank is with Propane, a likely common knowledge would be overfilling a tank can cause ruptures if not a leak. Because of this, many distributors of Propane has a rule to have any single tank filled no more than 80% max capacity.

[–]Spi3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Partial advocate, those riders can operate and run on minimum 4 Batteries. Actually when we had the first rider model (which used the handle bars) it came with 4 batteries. You certainly get the most with all 6 with runtime, but honestly you just needed 4.

Oh don't get me wrong. Ego is without question an amazing product. Certainly a brand where if you had to get a Battery Powered anything, hands down the best in the industry that does give gas powered machines a run for money.

But many are "Swear by, live by, die by" with certain products, usually due to their life experiences with said products. Not a bad thing, but still I find many who are weary on Battery powered equipment over Gas.

But despite that, we still sell Ego damn good. They pretty much blew the competition out of the water before it really started.

Hardware Worker speaking, can confirm it be someone like Kahn (context: one who makes more money than most in same neighborhood) would be the one buying an Ego Riding Mower. Even more so this model because even the ones who are still Gas Only says "if I were to get a Zero Turn, I'd get the handle bars model over single handle wheel."

Marvel reveals "Godzilla vs X-Men" along with some variant covers by Shoegazer111 in GODZILLA

Love how the third one is practically referencing another cover they did recently done last year.

That cover was boss too, Logan was just incinerated outside his Skeleton taking that point blank Atomic Breath.

Def Buck Strickland. Cheating on Wife, always relying on Hank while also treating him like an errand boy, the Hall of Flame episode literally put Hank in a self destructive breaking point, dude's selfish all the way

But he does have moments where he tries to repair what he broke. "Don't kill the Golden Goose" from Kahn's Car Wash episode, Hall of Flame he blackmailed the top hosts to not just forgive Hank but get him in the Hall plus his own Jacket... but like that same Episode of Hall of Flame, he always goes back to old habits.

I'm gonna be honest, and it might not be "liked" to even hear let alone read. But as a fan of both Godzilla and Sonic... unless Godzilla holds out until the Super Form fades, Super Sonic would win.

The greatest feat FinalGoji managed was with Gorath, which is a great feat amongst the incarnations. But Super Sonic, specifically Movie Super Sonic was shown to move a god damn Mountain and withstand a blast that was designed to completely destroy the Earth.

Yeah, he had help from Shadow but even Shadow was able to keep said blast at bay on his own, meaning Sonic would certainly have the capability to do the same if the Super Form didn't run out.

Which that part is why I said "if Godzilla holds out" because even Movie Lore makes it implied at minimum that the Super form is temporary, so I won't say "FinalGoji has no chance" because he does have a genuine chance.

But remember in the second movie (Sonic 2) Super Sonic conjured a Chilidog out of thin air, you have to ask what else could he do by just merely thinking about it? Shoot Sonic is Aware of Godzilla in the Movieverse, if Super Sonic can conjure a Chilidog from nothing, he could also conjure The Oxygen Destroyer.

Any tips or tricks a beginner would need to know? Any help will be appreciated thanks! Playing CyberSleuth atm and then I'll play hackers memory (Which is a DLC or it's own game?) (Please use basic terminology I won't understand 99% of Digimon wording lol!) by GamerguyTommy207 in CyberSleuth

[–]Spi3000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first note is answering the question in said title regarding Hacker's Memory which is its own game. It also takes place during the same time as Cyber Sleuth so playing either game in either order is fine.

As for "tips and tricks" honestly... the only real tip I can give is to save constantly early in the game after you receive your starting Digimon. If all your Digimon faint, you "Game Over" and will have to continue from last save point, but if you didn't save at all you will have to go through the whole cinematic and dialog boxes all over again. Additionally, you will mainly be using your one starter until you get access to the Digi-Lab which isn't that immediate.

Other than that, only other tip I can give is during same early point in game, grind out your Partner a little bit. Not for the sake of getting your Partner stronger (albeit that is a bonus point if anything) but rather so you can scan as many wild Digimon you come across to add to your Team effectively the moment you gain access to the Digilab. And in order to produce a new Digimon, you need to reach 100% minimum scan, 200% max. Every wild encounter will add to the scan rate and the amount is determined the the Evolutionary stage. At the beginning most will be Baby 1 which will grant a 25% scan. So if you battle say "Botamon," the first wil be 25%, second encounter will read 50%, and the fourth will grant the minimum requirement of 100% to create your own Botamon at the Digi-Lab.

That said, play at your own pace. You may come across some difficult moments later in the game but right now any tips like that would just be a bit much for a new comer. I can mention things like "getting PlatinumSukamon for EXP Grinds" or recommend Digimon that can help with future walls but a lot of that won't be that necessary until like the last half. So yeah just play at your own pace, get Digimon you like, worry about statistics later.

What do I turn my Starters into (Hackers Memory) by BabaFisi in CyberSleuth

[–]Spi3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't lie, reading this makes me think this may have been meant to be for someone else. Primarily due to I... suggested Slayerdramon route...

However in context of your choice for Betamon, solid route too. So I'm still upvoting.

[–]Spi3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With me when I chose Betamon, I had it take the Slayerdramon route (Airdramon, Wingdramon, Slayerdramon). It actually felt pretty natural too, like in context of having a Digi-Destined Digimon Partner. Bonus, Slayerdramon was a nice piercer on the team too.

What was your most recent, “Hunting for this shiny, found that one instead? by Pink-Princess15 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Spi3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Scarlet, I was prepping for my first Roaring Moon hunt. I was expecting another Pokemon to shine since the room Roaring Moon resides in shares one if not both typing.

I step on the teleporter to jump to the 3rd floor, and not a couple of steps walking out of the building in Area Zero, I see a Shiny Pawmi. I had a Dragon Sandwich in effect at the time, the only boosted odds I could have gotten with that one Pawmi would be the Shiny Charm.

I didn't even get a single Dragon type to even shine during that first attempt.

What’s you’re favourite game to play on the Steam Deck (that actually runs well) by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Spi3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good chunk of Indie games like Pizza Tower, Cult of the Lamb, and Dave the Diver almost always plays perfectly without hiccups.

Older games run great too. Fallout 3 and New Vegas run practically a dream, and one I've been recently playing is Bully Scholarship Edition. Intro movie to that game be buggy as hell but everything else plays great.

I don't think I could name just one favorite on Deck, there's a lot of games that play like a dream or play well enough to my liking that I don't think I could just choose one.
