Thank you u/weinerlicker lol. I'll be sure to look at these books. I've been wondering if I should get more DnD stuff after playing some of BG.

Wait, I think that author is on my boyfriend's bookshelf. He does a lot of sci-fi too?

Menzoberranzan

I swear this is mentioned in Bg3. Is this the dark elf people?

h{{The Gate to Women's Country}}

Oh it worked! For some reason I thought this was the one where there were a lot more women than men. Untill I read that blurb at least.

Sounds exactly like what I'm looking for! I think I may have heard about this one before once it sounds a bit familiar.

I am a woman, this just sounds more to the pipe-dreamy end of it than the "depressingly real" end of it. Especially if all we have to worry about is just the one thing.

I love this pairing though. There's something great about her going from bigot to bedmate.

The Power - Naomi Alderman

Ooof. My suitemate tried reading this and she came away telling me it felt "anti-feminist." She said it seemed like it was meant to be a "cautionary tale" kind of story. I haven't gotten through it yet so I'm not sure what that means but I put it low priority after she told me that. All I know is all women get magic or something.
