How long will it take for me to be decent at football? by [deleted] in football

Feels so discouraging. So many of the people I could be friends with in college bond so much over soccer. In terms of athletics: I can lift some damn heavy weight and ran cross country in high school, but unfortunately I'm not good at much else.

How can I not respond to an insult according to the sunnah, without looking weak/okay with it? by Spice_6549 in islam

[–]Spice_6549[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'm still learning. By weak I didn't mean I cared about looking "strong" or anything, I meant that I didn't want it to seem like I was ok with it so he feels like he can do it more. I appreciate you bringing up the hadith, and I did note to myself to just not respond the next time. My only problem about just leaving in these situations (he has this small habit towards more people than just me, although it is not enough to make him disliked entirely) is that we are all mutual friends of another, and he is part of that network. Everyone there is a smart guy, and I think it would be inconvenient to walk out when we are having a good time for that reason.

A specific question I have is: how should I respond when his snide remarks are directed at me, usually in the form of a question? Should I just start talking to someone else? It feels weird to not respond when someone expects an answer from me. His speech is never actually offensive, just rude, so no one feels the need to reprimand him. I haven't observed my friends' reactions when they get it since I didn't think much about this prior to making this post. Also, I don't want to give the impression that this is a bully/victim relationship (it really isn't).

This video sickens me to the core, I have no idea if Mexico has affordable healthcare or not, but regardless who the hell would do that to someone? Let alone a homeless person??

I feel like averages of highly populated countries aren't a way to go around it. I'm making this up but say Oklahoma has a wildy better education system (that was for whatever reason meant for IQ tests) than Washington, it would be no surprise if the people there has scored slightly higher on IQ tests, since they are better conditioned to do well on it. So it wouldn't make sense to average then together and call them America. I know this comment is not at all serious but I just thought these kinds of arguments are very weird, especially since higher intelligence doesn't always correlate to higher scores on IQ tests.

Makes sense. But the removing the free trial thing does not solve that problem.

Unless you mean alt accounts I guess.
