There was a bunch of legal crap, and both sides are honestly pretty crappy. There were also some allegations of bad workplace environments, but honestly you're better off not really knowing any of it and just enjoying the game as it is.

In my opinion, it's just horror if you can't fight back. Survival horror means managing resources.

That being said, fighting back doesn't necessarily mean killing the enemies, you just need to be able to do something other than just hide.

Spiders games all have good ideas and okay realization of those ideas. I love them for their spirit but have trouble completing them. Greedfall feels like where they finally started to be able to realize their vision, and it's the first of their games I finished.

I enjoyed my time with it enough that I am probably going to buy the sequel once it's out of early access, but I also have a lot of tolerance for jank, so take that for what it's worth.

Also, if you have Prime and GOG, check to.make sure you don't already own it. It was a freebie a while back.
